Loftus-Cheek looked an incredible prospect when he first came on the scene, technically superb. He could and should have developed into a complete midfield player, had injuries and a lack of ambition not stalled his career.

If we do get European football, we will need quite a few bodies through the door. I would expect the club to secure two ‘high-value’ targets e.g. Maddison. Another 3-4 will be more opportunistic, such as from teams who have been relegated or free-agents. I don’t think Tielemans would succeed in an Eddie Howe team, fine player mind.

Sunderland will make the play-offs and I expect the gap to be erased totally within the next couple games.

It all depends on if there’s a bidding war for him or not. Feel like a potential move to Chelsea has probably gone, considering their ludicrous outlay on midfielders in January. Arsenal have Partey, Man United have Casemiro and City have Rodri + fatty Phillips. He only has a year left on his deal, so doubt any fee will exceed £80m.

Paqueta was decent, but faded badly second half. Bowen and Rice were far better. Love how direct Bowen is on the ball, with the greatest of respect to Big Dan Burn, the guy was getting roasted all game.

I would be doing everything possible to sign Rice. He’s a brilliant player and his attitude and work-rate would be a great fit for our set-up.
