From what I’ve seen of him, I don’t think Werner’s qualities translate well to the Premier League and he’d be better in another league.
-
They’ve took 10 points from their last 5 and realistically only need one more win. They’ll be okay.
-
Very good player, only a year left on his contract as well.
-
35 points is a higher threshold that I was expecting, but looking at the remaining fixtures, I can see where the points can come from.

Yeah if there’s a week Burnley are going to cut the gap to Everton, it will be this one.
-
Going to be very tight between Burnley and Everton I think. You'd expect Burnley to close the gap entirely in the next two fixtures.
-
Trippier and Wilson still to come back into this team
-
Hope he starts against Norwich, even with the short break. He's absolutely vital to everything we do.

All of this is a dream come true. Since the takeover, the looming threat of relegation has dampened some of my excitement, but now we're in the position we are, feels like I can really enjoy and take it all in. It's an absolute joy to feel this connection to the club again.

Norwich City vs Newcastle United, Saturday 23/4/2022 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Isn't our record at Carrow Road shocking? Here's hoping we can change that. -
Can’t really understand anyone wanting Everton to win tonight. Leicester have 2 games in hand and their remaining fixtures are a lot kinder than ours. I can’t see us finishing above them at all.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Definitely agree with this in theory. Not to sound disrespectful to Bristol Rovers, but could work out to the benefit of both clubs if we had a strong partnership to cultivate opportunities for our best young talent. However, in those examples, I think Watts should really be a playing at a higher level now if he’s going to have any future at the club. As for Matty, I don’t really care that much, he has no future here regardless. -

If Bristol Rovers go up, I’d want him to stay with them on another season-long loan. Yes it would be League One football, however the importance of him playing every week in a positive team / environment can’t really be understated in terms of his development. He’s playing under a manager that clearly believes in him and is willing to give him opportunities to refine his ability in a range of positions. The fanbase have also took a great shine to him, which is a huge boost to a young player on loan. Not to mention, Bristol Rovers are a big club at this level. There’s no way he’ll be involved in the first-team next season in any case and we should be sorting out a loan for him as early as possible. -
Besides the couple videos of him saying something daft on holiday, I don’t see an attitude problem in Toney. From interviews, he comes across as extremely driven and hard-working. When he was let go by us, he was honest about his naivety and that he was lost at that level at the time and more generally, his future as a footballer. When he played against us at home this season, he stated “there are no hard feelings. Newcastle still holds a special place in my heart”. He has that steeliness about him as a central forward which I like, I think our team needs a bit of bite, especially when we play away.

Looking at their next fixtures, Everton really need to beat Leicester on Wednesday night.

Minamino would be a good option but we’d get absolutely rinsed by Liverpool I’d expect.

The footage of Savic yanking Grealish's hair as the camera pulls away is just brilliant.

Horrible snide challenge that on Foden Can't stand Atletico and how they can't take what they dish out.

Find it difficult to believe Clark wouldn’t have suitors in the Championship. He surely walks into most teams in that division if we’re being honest. All depends if he’s willing to move and we can reach a settlement on his wages. I’d be happy with just three signings in the summer if they’re all of real quality; signings that would go straight into the starting 11. The reason for that is that I think this is going to be a tricky window, as we have a lot of players to potentially move on and it’s not going to be straightforward to finalise those outgoing transfers. We also need to make a decision on contacts sooner or later - Schar, Longstaff, Dummett etc which will be indicative of our strategy.

Thought we'd be already safe with the win last night, but in light of today's results, we still need another win I think. Hopefully get it next week.
-
Really poor result, I hope Howe remembers this performance when summer arrives. We really need to be ruthless with the majority of this squad.
-
I really don't see the value in Henderson and especially at a figure of £20m, a very limited upgrade on Dubravka, if at all.

Big wake up call that the majority of the squad just aren't good enough.
