So as long as he doesn't tweet anything that goes against the Tory agenda, he can present MotD again. 100% this'd not be happening if he tweeted out some right wing guff in support of that bollocks the Tories are trying to implement.

Teams sitting deep and allowing us the lion's share of the ball regularly has affected that. It began with Leeds in the second half, thought first half they actually come out pressing us but they dropped deeper and deeper as the game went on yet we still could've had at least 2 goals in that half had we brought our shooting boots. Fulham, Palace, Bournemouth and West Ham to a degree (only a certain degree as they were probably the better side in the first half) have all done the same as Leeds in that second half since. Man Utd did in the final also albeit having played the Thursday before and found themselves with a 2 goal lead.

I think the recent Athletic article also suggested that our attacking play is incredibly predictable now. It almost all goes down the right where we have an incredibly predictable Almiron and Trippier whom almost everything we do goes through; our main tactic this season has been tailored for allowing him to bomb on on top of the fact that he takes every attacking set piece we have. Targett and ASM on the left would change that, otherwise teams just need to surround Bruno and overload our right to stifle our attack; we have nothing on the LW as Burn doesn't offer much going forward and the left sided attacker, be that ASM or Gordon, is often on his own as a result.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/12830270/newcastles-goal-shortage-why-poor-finishing-could-cost-eddie-howes-side-a-champions-league-spot Had a read of this, the drop off in our forced turnovers and starting positions of attacks from before Boxing Day compared to after is really stark like.

So wish there was footage of our players doing this. Isak getting that sent over for shits and giggles is tickling me, like.

Oh I 100% agree. I find myself often hating our Twitter/online fanbase more than the mackems.

Without wanting to sound like I'm siding with them, a manager continually starting a striker whose been in the main shit for months and has 1 in 14(?) whilst there's a record signing striker that's been sat on the bench for weeks is a decision that will get questions asked or criticism at any PL club you'd think.

"Fanzines, podcasts and politics"? Ya what?
-
He's been back in full training for 2 months, man.

That's Marc Corby. Runs the NUFC 1980-1994 YouTube and Twitter accounts. Sound bloke. Remember him and Baldwards having a huge falling out/argument on Twitter and on the TF podcast back in the COVID Bruceball days.

Some Forest fans are still riled about it. When we played them in August it was mentioned on their forum in the match thread within 4 posts or something. Wonder how many it'll be before it's mentioned next week. Not like its been 49 years and the fact that they've probably evened the score with Ian fucking Woan.

Gallowgate Shots is probably the best NUFC channel there is tbh, remember listening to the podcast way back in the awful Carver days when it was just Mark and Kris in some pub in Shields. Do think it's at its best when it's just Mark, Kris and Deka. Then again, the pod is just like listening back to the exact same conversation I had in the pub post match. Sound lads and stuff but nowt really insightful.

Never been impressed with Ward-Prowse outside of his set pieces but his stats do suggest otherwise. Do think we can get much better though. More so regarding McTominay, don't think he improves us much at all. Wish some of these links were to players on the continent more. Far better value for money there and I have no worries about implementing them here with Howe, his coaching and the staff.

Will never not find this way more funny than it should be.

Used to be of the same opinion but get me on the fucking piss in Latvia and Moldova, man. Assuming I can get a ticket that is.

Question for the ages that. But this game I remember as the most boring thing I have ever had the misfortune of suffering. 90 minutes where literally nothing happened other than Matt Ritchie calling a lino a 'wee dick'. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53385583
-
Begs the question of why has he still been regularly starting games then, given Isak has been back in full training since 2 January?
-
First time I ever willingly/had to suffer watching it. Made me want to commit seppuku.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)
HaydnNUFC replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
Always remember when he was going to start doing it 'his way' and the 'gloves were off' and proceeded to get twatted 3-0 away at midtable Arsenal. -

He kept us in games on his own in 2019-20, Bruce's first season in charge. Hate to think how many points he earnt us that season. Darlow played about three fifths of the COVID season but once Dubravka come back in he's been as dodgy as he ever has been since.

Aye, matched Shearer's record for us. He's been probably all round better under Howe though imo, just sans the goals.
