"Holte Enders in the sky, yippee ay yay, yippee ay yoooo" I think.

Don't think I've ever seen Bailey do something positive for Villa since he's been there. Don't watch them a lot admittedly.
-
Villa look ridiculously poor. Still early on, like.
-
All Fulham early doors.
-
We started Wood, Fraser and Murphy as a front 3 in 4 games last season. 3 wins, 1 draw. Think they'd do okay against Djurgårdens and CFR Cluj tbh.
-
Ten Hag's made him train alone now as well apparently. Good on him. Would probably cost a fortune but they're best off terminating his contract and just getting rid.
-
Still nowt. Absolute joke. 10 days since their alleged deadline.

We'll get something from that Chelsea game, don't fear anyone at SJP. Sunday is or has been the only game I've looked at since Liverpool (a) where I don't expect us to get owt. 7 or 9 points from 4.

FA Cup winner gets Europa League, League Cup winner gets Conference League. If FA Cup winner finishes in the top 5, then 5th and 6th will get Europa League. Only 1 English club can start in the Conference League from the get go so one of or both of those cup winners, as long as they finish in the top 6, will push the Conference League position to 7th.
-
I would love to say 6th/Europa League is doable but I can't see what 'big 6' team finishes 7th or lower this season. Liverpool will surely pick up at some point, Potter has started well at Chelsea, Man Utd look decent so far under Ten Hag and will only get better, Spurs have the quality up top to stay clear of the team that's 7th. Arsenal look great and Man City will win the league. If we're 6th, above or within 5 or so points in January and we recruit well, then maybe. But I can't see it.

We're much better than we were last season but we tried pressing them high iirc last season and we conceded 4 goals in the 2nd half after taking the lead, was really poor.

Said on Twitter that Guardiola seems to get away scot free regarding all this shite. In addition, the Saudis are reprehensible cunts and I avoid discussions about them when I can online as they tend to be pain inducing, but our fans get accused of 'whataboutery' quite a lot. Making comments Howe made about not being a cunt to officials about the club's owners is one of the biggest examples of whataboutery I've ever seen. It's not the 'ahh gotcha' he thinks it is. Absolute creep.

Would take a point from this. If we do I can genuinely see us heading into the World Cup unbeaten, as the only fixture left where you probably wouldn't be going into expecting us to win is Chelsea but I genuinely don't fear anyone at St. James' given our home form under Howe and that game against Man City.

The bloke is toxic. How will yous get rid when no one wants him or can afford him?

"Newcastle have avoided defeat in their opening six home PL games for only the fourth time in that competition: 1994/95, 1995/96, 2011/12 and 2022/23." Some stat. Finished top 6 in those former 3 seasons.

He's been Howed a la Joelinton, like. Fair play. I wasn't convinced he should be here based on his output alone. Always grafted his bollocks off. But now he's adding the goals. Brilliant stuff. Hope he keeps it up.
-
Exactly the type of game and result I was expecting tbf. Good stuff. They're a poor side with the ball. 1 shot and 0 on target in 90 minutes is quite hilarious tbh.

Gym then out around 3:30, 4ish to meet my Everton mate from my undergrad course, starting at the Tanners Arms down the Ouseburn. God help me. 3 points today but tough, grim and tight game imo. HTL.
-
Great passage of play that from Palace tbf.

Aye, was buckled at it
