'Wait and see' if they're available to me is just him keeping his cards close to the chest. One of them certainly imo is bound to be in the matchday squad and perhaps even start.

We'd have beaten Wolves and gotten a point on Wednesday with them imo, given how the games panned out. No matter. We'll have 1 of them at least back going off what Howe said today. By the time we play Bournemouth at home, maybe even at West Ham next week, we'll hopefully have a fully fit squad to choose from.

We should've probably beat Wolves (with ASM admittedly) and we were very close to taking something from Anfield without them. Don't get some of the pessimism tbh, we've only lost 1 home league game this calendar year, to Liverpool, 0-1.

His goal on Wednesday came from finding space in a channel in the right half space. He'll play there when Wilson is fit, which won't be too often. He'll be our number 9 most of the season. Lovely jubbly.

I think the plan for when Wilson is fit from Howe is to play the right sided attacking player, Isak in this case, more in and around the right half space more than out wide. Think that's probably where he wanted Maddison playing had we signed him.

Yeah I've watched the full thing. His comments have been misconstrued and taken out of context but have been reported in a way by Hope and Edwards that makes him seem like he's whinging, when he wasn't.

I honestly think the time wasting criticism has been a PR masterstroke from Liverpool. Completely takes away how dogshit they were on the night going by their standards over the previous 3 years. PL clubs rarely deal with each other especially the top 6. They see us as a threat, its why they didn't want the takeover to happen (like fuck was it on moral grounds), wanted us to go down last season and why they didn't want to negotiate with us. We have to look abroad for our players like most top clubs do which has gotten us Bruno, Isak and Botman.

One thing I was thinking about when wondering about the bigger picture is how many clubs have we now moved beyond in terms of ambition and squad quality? We lack in depth but some of the clubs we could only really aspire to be like under Ashley since we returned to the PL in 2017 like Everton, Leicester, Wolves; do we have a better starting XI than those now, when everyone is fit? Everton certainly, Leicester perhaps given what's been going on there this summer and the state of them so far, Wolves probably to a far lesser extent but they do look toothless. West Ham we'll be competing with this season so probably not them yet. Just mad how much it's all changed.
