I would agree but when Bruce was here this season he's been shite too. Howe needs to build a midfield this window to work with him in the side or needs to get rid, which is sad as I do still like him but performances like today won't help his cause, to put it lightly.

Been played out of position for the vast majority of his time here but today was when the straw broke the camel's back for me. Backed him for the last year or so but there were times today when he'd take ages to make the most basic of passes. Time to move on.

That side was good enough to beat a team 4 points from the League One bottom 4. I can't lie I do still like him and think he has something but what the fuck has happened to him? There is no excusing that ~35 minutes he had on the pitch today, it was an utter joke. He's had a shocking season, no idea what we can do with him tbh. Either we sign midfielders that suit his runs forward or we cut our losses. His regression has been utterly depressing.

Have to say, that was fucking embarrassing today. Given the side we had out, that's up there with Hereford and Stevenage. That it was at a full SJP is even worse. There's no excuses for it, it doesn't matter where we are in the league, what we think of the cup, to lose so timidly to a side who are 4 points off of the relegation zone in League One at home is frankly humiliating. Howe and the players, as much as I like the former and like some of the latter, were tbh disgusting in that second half. And indictment on this squad perhaps but there's just no way of excusing exiting to cup at home to Cambridge United. None whatsoever. Much major work needed to that squad, its untrue.

They won't be giving ambition later on a second's thought tbf. They just need the club to survive but it would be naive of them to think that there's no way Ashley would bid for them without there being some benefit for him and him alone.
