Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

Was going to post that. Athletic Bilbao having a board meeting in the Old George, man. Wonder if some of those Bilbao fans were in there before the game in 1994. -

He's quality but where do we plan to play him? Out wide? Don't think he has the pace to play there and a winger is what we need. In midfield? Withdrawing Bruno slightly also doesn't make too much sense. Odd one. -
They not announcing the TV games today then? Only the 2nd deadline of the season and they may well have missed this one already. Good sign.

Some can be just a bit underwhelmed whilst also knowing that it would've been liquid AIDS under Ashley. We started the window looking like certs to land Ekitike and were being linked by good sources to Diaby and Paqueta (with many unable to fathom moving on from the latter seemingly for whatever reason). Ekitike has fallen through and we haven't had any reliable links to a striker which we desperately need. Now the Diaby and Paqueta stories have died a death so we're now being linked to Harrison and Cornet who, whilst upgrades on what we have, aren't comparable in terms of bringing about the excitement people thought this window would entail and were teased with with Diaby and Paqueta. I'd still take either Harrison or Cornet rn btw. But people are allowed to say that and be underwhelmed. Especially, certainly in my case, about the fact that we're going to kick off against Forest with the same front 3 we finished last season with. There's plenty of time to sort that I know, but still. It could be so much worse though, I'm aware of that and grateful for the fact it isn't. But people can have opinions. Though the one that this is like an Ashley window is a load of shite.

Shame he's at WBA, seemingly an affable club. But no way am I reading that. "My job was to keep us up and we did that," when he was sacked we were winless in 8, won 7 from the previous 38 and we destined to go down. The fucking audacity of the cunt. Despise him. Says a lot that Howe, a guy from Buckinghamshire and Benitez, a guy from Madrid, are both far more Geordies in my eyes than this rancid fuck ever will be.

1. Bruce 2. Pardew 3. Allardyce* *tad too young to fully hate him but hate him now. Souness maybe but given I was only 5 when he was sacked I can't really put him there but I really fucking resent how he talks about us. Still bitter for taking us from 5th to 14th, the weird flid. Hate Bruce for obvious reasons, my main gripe with Pardew is not necessarily the football played or the results but the belittling of the club and expectations. "We can't compete with Swansea and Southampton," disrespectful tosh to cover his own failings. That he managed to convince the hierarchy and a good chunk of our fanbase that being in the Europa League is a bad thing because of fatigue, injuries and resultant struggling for form in the PL. No, that's why you have a squad Alan, but you were happy with just Bigirimana, Amalfitano and Anita coming in that summer so you just blamed the EL for your own failings. Some of our fans are still stuck in this mindset imo. 2012-13 scarred some of our fanbase and Ashley imo, after that season he was no longer interested in any form of progression in any way, shape or form which we are still trying to recover from. All Pardew's legacy.

Had a quick glance at replies and tweets. Nope, that's enough Twitter for tonight.

The shirts are what clash.

Yep, proper depressing club too. They're a founding club of the PL but since they got relegated in 1993-94 they've never been promoted, only relegated down and down the leagues to the National League which is where they are now.

With those 3 kits there'll be a bit of a kit clash when we go to Brighton won't there? The back of their new home kit is white which will clash with our third and that dark blue of the away clashes also. Home kit it is which is a bit of a clash too.

Poured this from a Guinness Nitrosurge can.

Hate central crests personally. Doesn't feel or look right to me. Like you've got a 3rd nipple.

White name and numbers I'm assuming?
