  1. The defeat at Anfield was a game where Rafa rested Rondón and others I think for a game at Watford days later. The Hoss started up front and a dive finished the game just after HT to make it 2-0. Plus everything about the club was submerged in negativity.
  2. Norwich officially up. Last few games between us and them have been a bit mad.
  3. They have one at the venue if things get desperate. Found a ball pump. Looks like I'm bringing the ball.
  4. He's our only real outlet beside Almirón. Not saying he's any good, but in terms of attacking players with pace to just carry the ball to relieve pressure we've got no one else. Almirón will be such a miss for the Liverpool game.
  5. On the drink all day thanks to the kick off time. Should make the atmosphere a belter. I was confident of getting a point or even doing something radge a la the Man City win with Almirón and Perez in the side. Hopefully Perez's injury is nowt serious and he's available, but Almirón is a huge miss. Still think we've got a chance of getting something.
  6. Two Jekyll and Hyde performances from us two weeks running. So frustrating and sick seeing us going from looking so good to absolutely rancid.
  7. Odd the way that they've set up, they're playing like we're a top 6 side. But we've rose to it perfectly. Only disappointment is not going in 2 or 3 up.

Reading the .com report of the 0-1 win 16 years ago today with Nobby scoring the winner. The state of this, man
  10. He's never recovered from that Cardiff display, as he was class at home to Spurs first game of the season. Real shame, but he's only 23. Still think there's a good player there but certainly wouldn't spend bloody £30m on him. Christ.
  11. Who I've unfortunately witnessed Joselu Luuk de Jong Riviere Who I've been told about Billy Whitehurst Frank Pingel
  12. Was looking at the exact same site for one myself. Leaning towards an old Italian club top, Juve or Napoli probably.
  13. Only if you answer your phone instead of insisting on texting only Here man, my phone was on silent in my bag then! Forget it Thanks
  14. Could someone do me a lift from around Low Fell or the Gateshead Interchange on the day? (whichever's easiest)
  15. Really, he couldn't hit a barn door? He has a bit of pace but really does anything with it. When we went to a sort of 5-3-2 with him with more of a free role in that midfield behind Rondon and Perez before Almiron arrived I thought he was alright. Nowt more or less though. We need a quick(ish) player to carry the ball forward either on a break or to relieve pressure. I haven't seen Muto too much to know if he's quick enough to perform such a role but Atsu can, quality actually on the ball aside.
  16. Atsu's fine, I think. End product poor more often than not but he's been okay when he's come in.
  17. Almiron and Perez both come inside and act as some sort of second striker, the latter especially hence all of the goals he gets. Almiron stays wide a lot more than Perez though, probably due to the fact that he has 2 men on him every time he receives the ball with the defending team in front of him, so it pulls 2 defenders out towards him creating space behind for a runner. I can't see Muto having that same effect if he goes into Almiron's role so we'd have to rely on Ritchie getting forward a lot more for putting crosses into the box.
