We've been largely predictably awful away from home for over a year. It's dire and I just can't see it changing.

Had a lot of the ball but done next to nothing with it. That right hand side may as well not exist. Longstaff and Murphy starting matches for us in 2024 is, well, I can't put words to it at this point. Bruno's also been noticeably poor.

We spent £40m on Barnes and he (apparently) still can't get starts ahead of Jacob Murphy whilst probably being our best performer thus far this season. Honestly, just what the fuck.

He's far better than our options behind a fully fit Botman & Schär but he just isn't a CB that truly elevates our starting XI. And certainly not worth over £60m.

Think that ship has sailed. Schär being back should help massively with us progressing the ball from our own third. There were times certainly against Spurs where Pope had the ball under no pressure but was unsure on who to give it to. 2nd half mainly.

It's saving me a bit of money tbf. We have the nicer away fixtures (on paper) this side of Christmas. Vice versa with the home games. We know how good we can be at SJP (though we've not seen it yet this season in an admittedly tiny sample size) so I want to see a vast improvement in the level of performances away from home in this next batch of matches. We've been poor for far too long. Sort it out and we can have a really, really good season.

Realised 4 of our next 5 games before the next international break in all competitions are away from home. The one home match being against Man City. Big opportunity for us to sort out being a competent football team away from the NE postcode.

We didn't know what league we were going to be in for most of those first 6 months tbf. Money needed to be committed to keeping us up, or getting us up if we went down. I don't really know what's gone on with the feasibility studies, mainly because I haven't really been reading much about them mind.
