  1. If I judged whole clubs and their fans based on what they were posting on their forum(s) and online I’d detest every club in the league. And us most of all.
  2. Every time I’ve seen Fullkrug in a West Ham shirt he looks absolutely hopeless.
  3. Everton mate of mine didn’t want to move. Says of the current place ‘it’s just not home’.
  4. Schar against Liverpool at home wasn't in stoppage time either, though that's just pedantry. It does feel like we have conceded a few meaningful stoppage time goals since our last one. Liverpool at SJP - twice. Man City in January 2024. Arsenal yesterday. Palace away last season. Chelsea in the League Cup.
  5. Barnes against West Ham at home in March 2024 was a winner that came in the 90th minute, albeit not stoppage time. For a stoppage time winner you'd have to go back to March 2023, Isak's penalty away at Forest.
  6. ROYALE UNION SAINT-GILLOISE @ Constant Vanden Stock Stadium (Anderlecht's stadium, not their usual home stadium as it doesn't fit UEFA's woke stadium rules) This is the one club from our Champions League draw that we have never played before. Based in Brussels, they dominated Belgian football until the Second World War. Following that, they suffered a huge decline that resulted in the club dropping to the 4th tier of Belgian football. However in this decade, that poker playing, weird sounding nonce that owns Brighton helped buy them out and they've had an enormous resurgence. They returned to the Belgian top tier in 2021 and narrowly missed out on the title in 2022, 2023, and 2024. They won the title last season, ending a 90-year drought and now compete in the Champions League/European Cup for the first time in their history. Their fans are apparently known for their progressive and inclusive values, often promoting anti-fascist and anti-racist ideals to the point where "Anti-Fascist Unionist for Life" is the unofficial motto of the club and they've had tussles with Belgian police for displaying banners as such. LAST TIME OUT? We've never played them before, so there isn't one. We have however played against a couple Belgian sides as seen below; HOW WELL DO WE DO IN BELGIUM? 2012-13: Drew 2-2 v Club Brugge (Europa League) 2006-07: Won 3-1 v Zulte Waregem (UEFA Cup) 2001-02: Won 4-0 v Lokeren (Intertoto Cup) 1994-95: Won 5-0 v Royal Antwerp (UEFA Cup) 1969-70: Lost 2-0 v Anderlecht (Inter Cities Fairs Cup) WHAT ABOUT THEM NOW? They've made an excellent start to this season; winning 7 out of 9 domestic league games, drawing the other two and beat PSV in Eindhoven 3-1 in their CL debut. They are currently on a run of 4 successive wins, beating Westerlo on Saturday. ANY TIES BETWEEN THE CLUBS? Absolutely zero. Though during the Champions League draw their defender Ross Sykes looked quite pleased at drawing us. Claims that he's a Newcastle fan followed, though there's nowhere I can find verifying that as he was born in Burnley and come through the academy there, but still, I'll assume it's true. Despite our performances this season this is one of the games we need to be taking a win from if we want to progress for my tuppence. Jealous at those going, though the Belgian beers before kick off would probably see me off well before kick off. Though given how we've been attacking recently that'd probably be for the best. Go and win this yanited for god sake.
  7. Don’t think anyone has said it’s all on Howe tbh. The Anfield Rat is massively to blame, but I’d have hoped he’d have had a better attacking game plan in the second half than hoofing it in Elanga’s general direction.
  8. Spent £55m on him. Shouldn’t be getting left on the bench and having hoofs directed in his general direction as our main attacking play when he’s on the field.

Thought he was brill. Didn’t deserve to be on the losing side.
  10. Since we beat Palace 5-0 we’ve been hopeless in attack home and away.
  11. 3 wins in our last 12 PL games. The 3 against Wolves, a 10 man Chelsea and Ipswich.
  12. Our attacking play since the Palace 5-0 win has been utterly lifting.
  13. Punished for offering absolutely fuck all going forward for the entire second half. Our attacking play is absolutely pitiful.
  14. Aye; even Liverpool who are top, no one’s got going this season at all yet it feels like.
  15. Looks like it went dead centre of the goal and wasn’t that high? The standard of keeping is horrendous atm.
  16. That passage of play. So comical.
  17. Absolutely honking goalkeeping.
  18. Not until late December. Early March at SJP.
  19. Physical tickets as well. They're never going back to them especially with the PL making it policy that by next season all tickets, home and away, will be digital. But they're the cause of the huge upsurge of touting and ticketing being a joke. Not just for us but across clubs.
