Aye, do think we still lack creativity from the middle. Would go back in for El-Khanouss if there’s still some money to spend.

Good read in the Athletic. They liken his ability to drop deep to link play akin to that of Kane’s. Makes sense there why Bayern were after him. Be dropping deep and sending Elanga and Gordon (when he’s back) through in behind. Loveleh. https://archive.ph/2025.08.29-061538/https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6582169/2025/08/29/nick-woltemade-newcastle-transfers/

Trying to register in time for Saturday. Edward Howe what on GOD'S GREEN EARTH are you cooking
  4. Other than Barca/PSG, those fixtures are late stage of the Europa League tastic
  5. Half expecting Anzhi to appear in this draw.
  6. He has like but he never played in a CL final.
  7. Can’t escape that fucking transfer nonce.
  8. Failure to sign a striker is negligent imo. And I'm happy with the business we've done away from the whole farce. Even if Isak wasn't an enormous wanker, we'd still need a striker imo with the extra games we have this season. He isn't able to play in all of the league and extra matches we have; his injury record at the club has shown that. Plus last season when Wilson was clearly finished, having Wilson as the back up striker cost us in games where we weren't able to mix things up from the bench or when Isak wasn't 100%. Two reasons why we need(ed) at least one striker this window regardless of the Isak situation. And now with it, it's cost us 5 points from 6 and it's down to the striker shaped hole we have in the squad that are willing to play for the club. Getting one and not is the difference between the window being an 8/10 to a 3/10 for me.
  9. If we want someone we’ll have to overpay. If we don’t and we go into the season with Osula/Gordon as our only willing strikers then we may as well write this season off and we’re in the shit again next season with the likes of Tonali having just 2 years left on his contract next summer.
  10. I’d gan for him. Not that we have much choice atm.
  11. Loïs Openda is still allowed to leave Leipzig according to Sky Deutsch.
  12. Sincerely hope we haven’t put all our eggs in this basket. Not holding my breath about that, though.
  13. Wasn’t really sure what thread to post this in but early last season despite us picking up points, I hardly enjoyed watching us play or the football we were playing. The wins and a couple of the draws early season last year were poor to watch and I probably didn’t enjoy any of our games until about November looking back. This season in spite of everything that’s gone on and us only having 1 point from 6 has been the total reversal of that thus far. I’ve enjoyed watching us play and I can’t knock Howe or the lads for anything that’s gone on because of the selfish cunt that’s on strike. If he wasn’t we’d likely have 6 points from 6, Gordon wouldn’t have been sent off the other day and things would be looking up. That Howe has managed to cultivate the culture he has amongst the players that allows us to see the togetherness and fight they have in matches is something I appreciate so much. However, get a striker in even if it’s a stopgap and turn these performances into wins.
  14. Man City in 23-24 and Chelsea & Arsenal last season got 4900 so assume they’ll get the same?
  15. Russell Martin never stood a chance.
  16. Looking forward to losing out in the ballot to Toni Kroos.
  17. Whilst Isak has had a gargantuan role to play, the news of him wanting to ‘explore a move away’ (ostensibly the beginning of his strike) was on the 24th July. We’ve had the whole of June and most of July without it and still failed to sign a replacement for a player in Wilson whose needed replacing for years. If the Isak shit wasn’t happening I’d still be disappointed in us not signing a replacement for Wilson. It’d take our business this window which I’m happy with away from the striker lark from an 8.5/10 to a 5/10 at best.
  18. Would like to see for no real particular reason; Pot 1 Real Madrid (H) Bayern (A) Pot 2 Club Brugge (H) Juventus (A) Pot 3 Bodo/Glimt (H) Slavia Praha (A) Pot 4 Kairat (H) Athletic Club (A)
  19. They still doing the woke nonsense (that actually benefits us) of keeping teams in Europe apart? Means the trickiest tie we could get is Everton away or Man Utd away if they win tonight. Someone shite at home, please.
