  1. Fingers crossed, desperately needed. Yep. Will give everyone a much needed lift.
  2. Disagree. Merino and Shelvey is our best partnership in the midfield 2 imo.
  3. Still struggling to believe we were that bad yesterday. So disorganised, abject, utterly pathetic. 0-3 at home to Watford for fuck sake. Fuck off.
  4. Not just that, the fact that it happened again for the second, only he turned it into the net. So much space for their full back, Ritchie was nee where either, mind.
  5. Still only a 4 but we have to arrest this slide quickly. Tuesday is a good opportunity to do so.
  6. Worst performance since he's been here. Shocking, expect much better from him.
  7. Same. No clue what he was watching. Ritchie, Yedlin and Joselu were disgraceful yet he singles Murphy out. Odd.
  8. Takeover hinges on Rafa being here. No.
  9. Terrible performance. Everything we stood for earlier in the season, especially in the run where we lost 1 in 7 has just evaporated. Being organised defensively, tough to beat et cetera. I know Lascelles being out doesn't help but with him or without him Watford shouldn't be cutting through us at ease at SJP. This 4-4-2 doesn't work. We should revert back to the 4-2-3-1 which gave us the success we had early season. Shows how badly the takeover is needed. Watford have over taken us and are better than us. Watford. Any fan of either us or any other club telling us that either Ashley is great, careful what you wish for, better the devil you know or that he's been harshly treated, I genuinely hope dies.
  10. Do you not think it's worth giving Murphy another start? Was alright last week, think it'd be a tad harsh to drop him. Otherwise I think you're spot on with that team. Won't happen, like.

"not really a dig at Newcastle, I have been a big critic of Benitez for about 10 years due to Liverpool supporting mates" Aye, right. Liverpool fans idolise him do they not? Yep. Champions League winner, numerous seasons where they reached the latter stages, only 2 seasons where they finished outside the top 4, FA Cup win and had all this success under 2 absolute mongs as owners. Don't get this conception that he isn't great in a league season either. Liverpool should have won the title in 08/09. 2 defeats all season, 86 points. He's s**** though.

    On this day...

Was only young when that debacle happened, but I remember the side shot of Allardyce on the TV when it was 0-3 towards the end of the game and the fans next to the dugout shouting deserved dog's abuse at the fat cunt. Kinda shows how much Ashley has driven the fanbase into apathy in the past, the vitriol aimed at Allardyce and the atmosphere as a whole was utterly toxic, and the closest we've came to that is a dilute version in McClaren's final game v Bournemouth. Not the other Liverpool humiliations or mackem defeats.
  14. I'm probably against it. Would rather we did up SJP in terms of its interior and facilities and try and improve the atmosphere as it is. I think it can still get going when everyone's up for it. Atmosphere this season has been good and the Leeds and Barnsley games last season were class. A new ground in Leazes Park or somewhere quite close to the current SJP site I wouldn't be wholly against. The Metro Arena site would be the only real alternative. Then nah. A move would be shit. The fact that the ground dominates the skyline (to an extent) and it being in the city centre is renowned. Having that taken away would be shite.
  15. Rarely ever see any bother home or away, so it’s surprising really. Good to see that there were only 1,600-odd football related arrests, considering how many attend every single week, that’s a very small minority. The reason why we're top is because of the amount of bans the club had to give to the morons in the aftermath of the April 2013 mackem defeat, the vast majority of whom didn't even attend the match got shitfaced in the pubs watching it.

  17. All those people coming over, booking hotels, spending money in the city because the local football club is considered attractive. Awful stuff.
  18. Merson's predicted us to lose. Lump on a win.
  19. Cottee especially. Thinks WBA fans would be happy with Pardew. Here's something which typifies Cottee's football knowledge:
