  1. It would be so satisfying if Howe can turn him into a productive element of the team. Especially if he does it in two weeks. Ould Stevie 'can't change things over two years' will be shown up for what he is. Not that the media will acknowledge it.
  2. You know he might. Bruce was proud of the fact he didn't do tactics, which means this lad had been given zero instruction as to what is expected of him. He gets the ball and has to look to see what the situation is. If he gets the ball in full knowledge of 2 or 3 available options he might be a lot more instinctive.
  3. Dwight Gayle, in his first PL season, scored 7 in 23 apps [881 mins] a goal every 126 mins.
  4. Until Joelinton has a position in which he resembles a professional footballer it's impossible to play him out of it.
  5. Enough to maintain his status as a PL forward. Again, I'm not dissing him, and I'm certainly not blaming him for relegation. I'm one of his biggest supporters, always have been. Not sure if you're deliberately missing the obvious point because you're feeling argumentative, but I'm not.
  6. 9 goals is not really enough for a main striker. I'm not dissing the kid. I think he was [at the time] good enough to become a PL forward. I think he is now good enough in the right team. I think he would have got there sooner if his development had been managed better.
  7. he could have easily reached similar figures, as backup, in his first season here, if he'd been used cleverly.
  8. Definitely wasn't good enough to be the main man in a PL team.
  9. Or he's now more mature than the average 20 year old.
  10. We're at a similar state to when Keegan first came in as manager. Howe has a little longer, but he doesn't have the freedom to enter the transfer market, until January, which still gives him longer. We all know it ended happily last time, but it went to the last minute. Let's hope we can clinch safety with some breathing space. It's all looking good, behind the scenes, but we won't really have a clue until we've seen them play a game.
  11. Have you see our corporate hospitality. They're all riding the gravy train so suck up to the ones that keep them in the style their celebrity status demands.
  12. I'd celebrate anybody who can make a living from what they love. But if they're rubbing people's noses in it, it becomes a lot less admirable. I know he's responding to dingbats having a go, but does that not therefore mean he is now making a living, engaging with dingbats? Fair enough if that's what he loves doing.
  13. Dunno who Natalie Sawyer is. I'm assuming I'm wrong in thinking it's Sonya from Eastenders.
  14. I'm more than happy to keep avoiding the Chronicle site. In fact I'd go so far as to say being discouraged from visiting their shite site, by their own design, is one of the little things in life.
  15. Maybe he's got more than one player on his books.
  16. Can't believe he's keeping Jones, like. He can do one.
  17. What will the others pick? You know I'm only kidding. I actually share the sentiment in your post, But I won't find it difficult to not support them financially.
  18. A journalist bragging about his lack of knowledge pertaining to current events, up the road.
  19. Haven't seen enough to judge, but the connection to Howe and the need for a left footed CB, coupled with the fact he isn't getting much game time at City makes it an option to explore. I'm talking about on loan, btw.
  20. My sympathy for Rangers fans is... Hang on. I'm sure I saw it somewhere.
