  1. The good ole days, when TVs were taller than they were wide.
  2. Scored 3 league goals too. I retract my statement from the record.
  3. Joelinton hasn't looked any worse than Thomasson did when he was here.
  4. "I had an interesting thought. Or an interesting vantage point that was put across my psyche." Now there's a man you can trust.
  5. Aye. let's hope, Steve. Man united 4-1 Arsenal 4-0 Liverpool 3-1 Leicester 5-0 Spurs 3-1 Man City 5-0 Yep, certainly did well against those top teams Steve If you replace Arsenal with a top 6 side, we got 10 points from them.
  6. Would prefer José to give him a right hook tbh Nah, quick [friendly] jab to the stomach. Let one of his chins finish the job.
  7. Actually there was an incident at Morecambe where Bruce was heard to be complaining about the size of the steak pies. That was also before KO.
  8. I think we've found the new "special" one.
  9. Agree with this, I think the best thing to do is to play them as a central pair with the freedom to exploit any spaces that appear, focus on developing that relationship. Push the wingbacks up to help out, leaving 2CBs and Hayden to cover. Jobs an adequate one.
  10. Aye. Absolutely no need for him to personally finance the Big Jo transfer. Idiot. IPs alright man, no need. Nowt against the fella.

  12. Expensive potential. Leicester have just spent 700 billion on up to the minute training facilities and we might as well give the squad a Playdo barber set for all the good it would do. But when things like the training ground are so bad, like they clearly are, it shouldn't take 700 (billion? lol) to make it an asset rather than a hindrance. The only way is up from the bottom! I was just alluding to the fact that we are a long way behind Leicester and other teams that we should be challenging if the overall value of the club s to increase. If the whole thing burned down overnight it would have little impact on anything really. The rubbish might build up.

  14. Marginal gains negated by the tool that employs them.
  15. Yeap, I think that's unfair. It was inevitable due to the unfair nature of football, they're just unlucky it was them.
  16. Can you imagine him as a coach? I can’t. Shola's got Andy's job. Just waiting for a top club to recognise his ability and we have a ready made replacement.
  17. Definitely. Wilson will be as successful as Gayle, if he gets the same number of chances. Bruce has already outlined the way he is looking to play by telling Almiron he needs to get used to it. He'll change back once Almiron is accomplished in the 442.
  18. I'm not convinced he would have ever gained a place, but I think [based on limited viewing, admittedly] he's performed well enough to have earned Rafa's trust. Whether that is down to Bruce being so lovable is open to question.
  19. We've had some fabulous games against Spurs, in the past. But for some reason this one reminds me most of when Pardew was in charge.
  20. I think it's unlucky. But unfair, in the context of the global situation seems to be stretching it.
  21. The point is, one of his finest talents was winding up the media. His clainm that he was special was just a part of that. You need self belief to play with the media, and a little arrogance to not care so much.
  22. We desperately need an all-rounder in there. Hendrick might be Bruce's answer to that. But that is based on the idea that we play something a bit more expansive than 442. We've got Wilson and Gayle [when required] up top, two players that, I believe, should you provide them with 5 chances every match [on average], would turn that into a solid return. In ASM, Almiron, Fraser, Big Jo, and Ritchie [not forgetting a hungry Jacob Murphy] we have the players to provide those chances. We just need to be able to control the middle for periods. As to Hendrick, I can't speak to his ability. His assist against West Ham suggested he has the right mentality for this stage in his career, but his goal looked too much like the kind of goal you see on the training pitch, that with the intense pressure of a crowd, is rarely replicated. But anyway. What do we need to make 442 work?
