Never mind Galacticos, we're poised to be the first club with an inter-galactic transfer. When the aliens arrive, it will be on their way to a planet with intelligent life, but run out of petrol.

That money would probably still be spent in the area, and the opportunity to encourage new business could turn their heads.

"Believe me", "Trust me".

Never used Uber. Don't own anything by Apple. Haven't drunk Coke since 2003. And don't subscribe to any TV packages. But then it's not a sudden bout of morality. Ever used Google or watched a Disney film? I use Bing and haven't watched Disney since I grew beyond the demographic.

Aye. I hate change.

The media hate us so it could force their hand in criticising the Saudi regime.

You have the right to speak out against the Saudi regime and not attend NUFC matches anymore - thats the extent of your power to change things unfortunately No it isnt. He could lobby the government, lobby the PL around the morals of foreign ownership and any number of other things. Whether he chooses to do that is entirely up to him. It's ok to dislike the Saudi government and also want your club to do well. This is the crux of it. We can do nothing, and shouldn't want to, to affect change in the lives of the Saudi people. All we can do is petition our own government to stop assisting. Hard to do that when you're celebrating in a top that advertises their business interests.

Its no more cringey than fans dressing up as Mr Blobby , or sticking sombreros on their heads in past years . Get over it Or big fat bastards stripping half naked and tarnishing the reputation of the region. Jesus H Christ you lot sound like Mary Whitehouse in her prime ... curtain twitching holier than thou humourless etc Ooh look who's being serious now.

Nobody can be accused of being complicit. All you're doing is supporting your team and I have no problem with that. Personally, I'll find it difficult.
-
Aye. Primarily because people ignore the fuck out of it.

It's not possible to support the club and complain about our govt. selling them the weapons to commit atrocities. Not without being dismissed as a hypocrite. Well then dismiss me as a hypocrite, because that's exactly what I'm going to do. And I'll do it gladly. If the football is good, other people can fight the fight against the rest of it if they feel obliged and able to do so. In fact, if anything I'd be hypocritical NOT to do this because I've been to Saudi Arabia 7 times so far with work. Riyadh 3 times, Dhahran 3 times, and once to Jeddah, often for over a month at a time. I've spent a lot of time talking to the Saudi people there, been to their houses, even talked to them about politics and the reforms of MBS whilst in their country. I've already, indirectly through the company I work for, taken their actual money to pay my bills with. To then kick up a stink about them owning my football club would be far more hypocritical than - assuming it's as we hope - me just chilling out and enjoying it after all the footballing misery I've endured from Ashley for over a decade. I've already shown I can not fully support a regime yet still embrace what it offers me, and felt no hypocrisy at all when doing it. I can gladly extend that to football. I have nothing to gain by dismissing an argument I agree with. You've missed my point.

Eh? He's ideal back up. A serious club would have better than those in front of him, and they wouldn't be as content to be back up.

That was Brighton. Big Joe Corrigan in goal.
