Is there any reason to doubt he'd pass a fitness test? If it's a last minute loan deal we can put in the condition that he passes.

Less reliance on Willock in defence will hopefully take some pressure of his overall game, which should be focussed on attack. If we don't get Lingard we'll be depending on him.

I think we've got the players to provide adequate ammunition for Wood, I don't think he's injury prone but I'd be worried without cover until Wilson returns.

I agree, but at the same time it's a shame. You can imagine without the involvement he might slip back into decline. Football commentary/punditry has always been a bit of a refuge ex-pros who are a little dim. But the game is saturated with opinion now and he sticks out like a sore thumb.

I know Miggy hasn't looked affective when picked on the right, for Bruce. But I remember under Rafa he'd quite regularly break in that direction, giving him the opportunity to switch inside to his stronger foot. Bruno could release him into space in which to compose himself. I do hope we haven't seen the last of the smiler.

I'd love it if we got this done. Would dissolve my brilliant tactics but I don't care. I've always liked the guy. He plays with a smile on his face every time I've seen him, and it's always seemed genuine. Disappointed at one point, when he drifted out of the England starting line-up, but then he reappeared and put in some solid performances [I'm not going to be watching hi for Man U]. Was delighted for him when he performed for West Ham and hoped he would get his move, never considered him a possibility for us.
