I don't think so. A defender clearing off the line would be from a shot on target for example. I thought the same, but the stats from Sky said we'd only had one shot on target which is bollocks. Maybe it has to be stopped by the last player. Must be the stats guy's off day. When a shot goes in off a defender it's not necessarily an OG if the shot was on target anyway is another example. So the goaly is definitely not necessary.

wat If we lose to Leeds and Brighton win. Not a disaster but still pretty bad as it would be ground lost.

Fuck. This could be a very, very bad day indeed.

Have a feel this will be one of our 'no show' performances unfortunately. 0-1 to Leeds -
Had to send a kid off in a under 17s game before because he flattened his own teamate with a dig. His other teamates start fighting with him then. Definetly one of the more madder and unusual things I have experienced. Another mental incident I had was in a under 12s game. The poor lad at CB got so fed up and frustrated he deliberately scored a OG. This was at a very poor standard mind. Other mad things to happen include a fellow ref blowing full time for a cup final 5 mins early with the scores level, a manager unsuccessfully trying to attack me during a game because he was unhappy with a offside decision which lead to a goal (because he was on a much better position judging it from the half way line than I was being only around 6 yards away from play ya know) and a goalkeeper being injured by twisting his ankle just as the game was about to start. He was substituted with the goaly from the B team who played in the game before this one.

All hate for Sunderland aside it's a joke of a sending off. Might as well just outlaw slide tackles altogether. I wouldn't mind I love nothing more than seeing a well timed slide tackle but it's an art that's been slowly and surely killed over recent years and continues to die a slow death.

They're gone. Their luck has finally ran out. They've been begging for this to happen for at least 4 years now and they're finally getting what's been a long time coming. There is no 'great escape' this time. What's sweet is boro are going with them. Order is finally restored next season, it's all back to normal after been fucked around for a long time. All 3 north east clubs will be in their rightful place again next season.

Wednesday have just wanted this more in every way. We barely look arsed out there. All too relaxed while Wednesday bad,y need the win. Fair play to Wednesday they're outplaying us here and will deserve the win they'll inevitably come away with now. We've got to do so much better in our last few games if we want anything more than 2nd place.

Just seen the peno given for Norwich to open the scoring against Reading. He puts his hand on the player but barely pushes him. Player doesn't even look for or expect a peno. Had to rewind it because I couldn't see how it could have been a peno. Another example of shit referees in this league.

They'all probably still win the playoffs imagine They should be banned from the playoffs after an embarrassing result like that to a team outside the playoffs

They think the promotion race is over.........it may just be now.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

I have been thinking in my own head for a good while now that if we win half are remaining games will be up without question. Been thinking that way since we had 16 games or so left. But now 2 wins puts us on 90 points, that really should be enough. No way Huddersfield have it in them to reach 91. We're up barring a gigantic catastrophe, which Rafa won't allow, so we're up. It's just a matter of winning division and will need at least 4 wins from 6 to do that as Brighton are stubborn, resilient and don't lose easily. -
What I don't understand is how any the other officials didn't simply correct him. It's not like they didn't take their time discussing it. The only logic I can think of is that they didn't want to embarrass him. Sounds stupid I know but honestly no other expalinantion other than they are all clueless and do not have enough advanced knowledge of the laws. I remember doing a line at a cup final and the ref blew 4 minutes early. I knew he did because I had a watch on too. The teams questioned me but I didn't want to embarrass him so was just like "He's the timekeeper not me". I mentioned to him he played too few but he carried on anyway and extra time began.

It's clear the ref got the law mixed up. He gave a indirect free kick for encroachment when it should have been a retake because the pen went in. Had Richie blasted it wide there would be no problem. A forgivable mistake for maybe an amautuer ref like myself but not for a professional. Personally I would have given a retake but had it gone wide I might not have remembered that it changes to an indirect free kick so Richie might have saved me . Professional refs really ought to know better.

So the idea is that I trust a complete random stranger with my money by throwing it in his bank account in good faith he'll be 100% transparent and honest and pay the cost of the plane and all the rest to charity. Yeah thanks, but no thanks. Besides the whole fly a plane over their ground thing is a shit idea and so stupid. It's not a bit of fun at all, it was sad and pathetic when the mackems done it last year and this will be equally so if we scoop down to their level of stupidity this year. How about just giving money to the charities directly then and none of this pathetic nonsense? No? Stupid idea? Silly me...

Delighted for them. Was a bit fearful they'd pull of a typical jammy late season win that could spark a run of lucky form for them to keep them up as we're all to used to seeing from them in the past. Now that hasn't happened surely there is no way back from here. Sacking Moyes after today and trying to rely on a new manager honey moon period (another thing they've successfully used in recent years) is their only remaining hope and even that would be a feint one. If they don't do that then they are 100% fucked.

The money spent was more for the commercial side of things more than the football ability I would say. He's a good player but certainly not worth half the money they paid for him. That puts him uo there with some of football's greatest ever in terms of value. But he's massive on social media and the sales they've made on selling jersey with his name is impressive. Zlatan too brought in a fortune.
