Leeds United vs Newcastle United - 20/11/16 @ 13:15 - SS1

Hmm in good form, simlarly to Preston before we played them. Going well and in a play off position. Such a shame they've to play us after the break -
Think you're reading too much into it. I'd imagine it was meant like this, " you're lucky enough to have got the chance to be a professional footballer, most people have to work hard jobs with long hours to earn their money" which is fine IMO If he had of put it that way it'd be fair enough but the way he did say it just sounds disrespectful, snobby and insulting to the factory workers who could like thier job perfectly fine and dont need somebody talking down on their job.

Dislike the way the players just stopped waiting for the ref to blow for handball for the Cardiff goal. They wouldn't have scored had our players just played the whistle and focused on blocking the shot instead of what the ref is going to do. Wasn't even handball either which makes it worst. That's the only dissapointing thing, the rest was brilliant as usual. -
His old man died on Thursday. 2-0 now this is too easy for Brighton.
-
Embarrassing for Bristol's GK but the way Sidwel intercepted the ball already knowing the keeper was in no man's land and then hitting a beautiful ball, without even taking a look, that flew over the keeper into the net was brilliant. Brighton at the moment look the only team that can compete/match up to us. They're doing very well.

Imagine being a bloke working in that factory and reading that You'd be pissed. Supercilious, smeagol resembling cunt.

Buzzing with yet another win. It would take a embarrasment of a catastrophe to not go up from here our position is getting better and better and the lads keep playing their heart out. Leeds away is going to be very tough, but we've already pasted some hard test this year such as Preston away. Really hope we can keep this going. -
f***ing knew this would happen. I hinted last week that Bourenmounth were more than capable of a f*** up, and they definitely will beat Hull. Lads let's just end it here. They're going nowhere. Year after year they stink the league out, but year after year they weasel their way out a the trap door and year after year they stay up. Same s*** different season. f***ing sick of these slimy c***s scraping survival every year.

Unless you score or assist are you doing f*** all offensively? Did Xavi do f*** all offensively? You'd have to ask why he was starting and why he got such rave reviews if he did f*** all defensively and offensively No I never implied that. If I did would I bring up Payet's chance creation stats in my defense of him being better? None of the chances he created in the knockouts led to assists for him, but he is powerless of that because he needs his teammates to tuck them away for him he can't do both. Let me ask you this: How many chances did Sissoko create for his teammates? What was his pass completion rate then? Payet's was over 80% for example. Sissoko was over hyped and has always been overrated even before the euros. I am very thankful the media did exaggerate his performance so greatly though as it's landed our great leader Rafa with an extra few million to spend on players. Buzzing with that. Also if it hadn't been for Payet's goals and assists France would have finished the group stages with just 2 points. Still sure they would have got through? They wouldn't have been playing with 10 men. That's like saying that if Messi wasn't playing for Barca the year he scored something like 70 goals they would've scored 70 less goals than they did Yes but if you look at how badly the team played against Romania they surely would have lost that without his assist and goal. No doubt he won them that game. Then against Albania it was another shit performance by France but he got another goal and assist to win them that game. He was rested for the next game and they failed to score. The Albania match possibly somebody might have stepped up to take his place and score a winner alright, maybe Griezmann would have found another way of scoring. We have no way of knowing. The fact remains though from what did happen that he was instrumental in all four goals that avoided some really embarrassing results for France.

Payet - Created the most chances out of the entire squad for France in the knockouts Sissoko - Had one shot wide and one on target against Portugal and ran a lot. Passed the ball a few times to other players (the very basics of football) Sissoko for me, like. Also if Sissoko was so good defensively were's the backup for this? How many successful interceptions and tackles he make during the two games against Portugal and Germany for example? He definitely done fuck all offensively that's clear, but I can't remember him doing much defensively either. Please do enlighten me. I will gladly swallow any pride and admit I misjudged his defensive contributions if you can prove he was defensively outstanding.

Are you deliberately being thick? I could pose that same question to you. So are you? You're saying one of the players of the tournament done nothing when it mattered. Well you've already been call out on your horseshit as somebody mentioned his performances in the group stage as a starter. He got a goal and an assist in the Romania match, would have been an embarrassing loss without him, and another goal and assist against Albania which would have been a horrible 0-0 draw without his contributions to the match. All while Mr Sissoko done f*** all. After being called out on your ignorance you had a change of heart and changed your tone to 'ooh he done nothing when it mattered in the knockouts I meant'. Really? Because for starters he scored the third goal against Iceland. You can talk s*** about how it was an easy match and Iceland were awful and blah blah but you cannot tell me a third goal in any given match does not matter not least in a Quarter-Final of a major competition. We all know the cliche about two goal leads being dangerous, and there is some truth in it just look at when Norwich were beating us 1-3 the other month, but the third goal more often than not proves to be the ultimate game killer. Far more times teams coming back from 2 down than 3 down. He also created more chances in the knockouts than any other player on the French team, as well as the tournament as a whole for France. Again you can talk s*** about how none of them lead to assists but that's out of his control. He can't make his teammate put it in the net that's up to them and their ability. Are you going to sit there and tell me that creating chances for your teammates does not matter??? How many chances did Sissoko create for his teammates? Also do you really think the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, who has far greater football knowledge and player judgement than you me or anyone on this forum, would handpick him for their team of the tournament based on two group games? Do you think they're dumb enough to do that and not look at the tournament as a whole? It just seems to me as if some Newcastle fans feel bad that their club ripped Tottenham off and got a ridiculous fee off them for a s*** player. So they feel like they have to justify the 30m somehow by letting on Sissoko was outstanding and France's great big hero in Euro 2016 when in fact he done nothing of significance in the 4 games he started and 2 games he came off the bench for. He was s***, just not as s*** as he normally was for Newcastle, but still s***.
-
Payet got 3 goals and two assists in 6 appearances in the Euros which included one sub appearence. He also got into the official team of the tournement. But yeah he did f*** all............................
-
Tbh I am more stunned at the fact people are still going on as if he was one of the best players at Euro 2016 than the £30m price tag even. He done f*** all man. Hit a few shots over the bar and wide and put one good cross into the box vs Switzerland having a good match in an effectively meaningless final group game. Big whoop. Compare his Euro's to players who were actually good for France and played brilliant like Payet and Griezmann and you'll see there's not even a comparison to how he performed and contributed to the team when put up against France's actual best players of the tournament.
-
Unbelievable what a bit of hype can do. Still cant believe we got £30m for this waster. If he was never involved with the euros we maybe would have gotten 15 - 20 million for him but because he hit a few shots over the bar in the final and the media starting wanking over it he's worth 10 million extra. Incredible.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

What's wrong with having an opinion that they will exactly? It's not like they're a bad team. And we're also good but hardly invincible, we have already suffered three bad defeats this season. It's not a game I'd like us to lose but I can see it being one of the blips on the road to the title this season that's all. Anyway it's too early to be arguing over a game that's not until Janaury anyway so lt's wait until then and see what happens. It will be interesting. Also I'll not be told to get a grip by a man who said he'd sell Sissoko for less than 5 million 'just to be rid of him' -

Second half was piss easy and we dominated virtually all of it but that was helped by them having ten men for the majority of it. Sure they hit the bar and all just after HT so they had their chances. I know we did as well but it was a close match until that red card in the 58th minute. -
Rafa Benitez is 100% responsible for Real Madrid's Champions League triumph. No I am not applyng normal logic here I am applying Mackem Logic. Mackem Logic says: Rafa Benitez in charge of 10 of Newcastle's 38 games = Totally responsible for their relegation Rafa Benitez in charge of 25 Real Madrid matches = Totally responsible for their success that season especiialy give he managed 15 more games than he did at Newcastle. So there ye go fellas. Rafa might have been at fault for a team's relegation last year, but he was also responsible for a team's eventual triumph in club football's greatest prize. There is nohing wrong with this logic, none whatsoever. All makes perfect sense.

Would have to disagree that he's unproven. What he done at Dortmund was a great job which proves he's got what it takes to bring teams far. Winning two Bundesliga titles and setting a new record for total number of points for a Bundesliga winning season at the time. Also got them to the UCL final and won the club its first ever double. He definitely put Dortmund right back on the map after they fell off it a good bit between 2003 and 2010. Of course he is not as successful or as proven as Rafa is but not a whole abundance of managers are. Most managers in the Premier League can only wish they had half his success.

Definitely think Brighton will beat us at their place. We've been good but so have they. They've lost fewer than us too and our victory over them was only so convincing in the end because the sending off killed the game. Until then they were running us close. There's still 31 games to go so too early to nail us on for a 10. I think with how well we've played bar the three obvious mishaps 9 is a fair vote anything lower than 8 is dismissing our excellent form. If we can get passed the Christmas period and still be several points ahead of the chasing back I think we're nailed on to go up. But as Rafa himself would suggest there is still a long way to go and nothing's been achieved yet. -
In fairness they probably deserved to go into the break with a lead we were very poor first half by the looks/sounds of it. Second half was much better but yeah Preston definitely have an argument that they deserved a point but too bad that's what happens when you're up against the best you lose even when you feel you should have drawn (or won according to some PNE fans)

Just watched Norwich and Brighton highlights myself. Holy fook Norwich are going nowhere if that's how they plan to defend. Really embarrasing they defended like the Norwich of old that went down to league one. If anyone fancies a lesson in how to never defend they gave more than enough examples. Players not picking up their men, players losing the ball with ease, players slipping and a horrid concentration level in general. I guess the good thing for them is they wont be facing the likes of us and Brighton every week who will take the chances they will so easily give away. But they'll throw a lot more points away yet unless there's a serious improvement becuase that was shocking.

How long can poor refereeing go on without the FA acting on it. I have refereed myself, I know it can be tough, but jesus not that tough. All you've to do is keep fit and make sure you get 8 hours sleep the night before your game so you're alert and focused and your ability to recognise fouls isnt all over the place like these English League jokers. If you work hard and do everything you can to stay alert you'll have a good game and there will be no problems. These English League refs can't do that.

I feel very awkward with this being the top stickied thread.

They look absolute s***, but there's still 28 games to go Yep Bournemouth and Hull next. One team almost as s*** as them and one team I believe are worst than them. Too early to get excited yet. Bournemouth are a good side, expect them to beat the Mackems handily. You're right about Hull tho. Yeah I agree they ball good football and all but I just think they're more than capable of a bad performance and could slip up and draw vs the mackems, but I hope not. Hope it's 5-0 to Bournemouth. That'd be most enjoyable.
