Probably not as much as he loves a pound note.

Be between 4-6 weeks before I would guess.

What are we supposed to do in a year? We can't reconfigure the stadium.

What I mean is that if we should loan a player (I realise it's a good option moneywise to loan) I think we must have the option to buy. Say that Abraham becomes a big success and than we dont have a chance of signing him next season. Then we are back to squere one needing to find a new striker next season. Quite possibly, but we'll likely have additional funds to allocate towards that striker, and with a decent season behind could be a more attractive proposition.

8 assists in 80 goals That's not telling the full story, he's often starting the moves that opens the play up that leads to goals, assisting the assiters if you will. I'm not sure why he's getting so much stick on here really, honestly people have short memories of how bad we were when he was suspended. Shelvey was critical to our promotion, to many on here try to belittle his role for some strange reason. 100%. There were plenty of our goals this season that he didn't get an "assist" for that he was hugely instrumental in. Off the top of my head, Perez v Ipswich had a lot to do with his excellent long switch to Dummett and Perez v Barnsley had a lot to with his one-touch sweep out wide to Atsu(?).

Discussing this just the other day. I'm in agreement with you that being at Wembley for a league won't be the same. I'm not even sure i'd be too keen on a semi-final there, although we'd have the numbers then (more so than a final probably) so i'd probably give in.

By the rules of the Premier League they are only obliged to give us 3,000. Don't think it's been announced yet but I would hope they'll give more. Suppose it'll depend whether they're selling it out to 'home' fans. If they are then, it'll just be the 3k as you say. Might also depend if they're opening it up for 90k capacity every game?

Burnley spent about £20m (gross) last summer and another £18m in January and they've stayed up relatively comfortably. Not saying we only need to spend that, or that "staying up" should be the limit of our ambition, but it shows you don't need £100m+ to compete. Although if Ashley fancies allowing us to spend £100m+ (he won't/we won't), then happy days.

Champion. I'll get my mates along.
-
Are they allowed to show it in the bars within the ground, so Nine, Terrace etc.? I'm going but i've got a couple of mates without tickets who'll come and watch it there if that's the case.

They haven't won an away game since Jan 2nd. Only half-decent team they have beaten away from home is Norwich. 6-0

Beat Villa on a Monday.........
-
Haven't we got a woeful record for Monday night games? Beat Villa recently.

We had no strikers on the pitch and scored three times. I'm not sure that was "going for it".

Know of one lad who took exception to being sent off (by a ref well-known locally for being particularly officious), so upon leaving the field sought out the referees changing room, opened his bag containing his clothes, and took a dump in it. Said lad isn't allowed to play anymore...

That and why the Burton players didn't leave the pitch after they got treatment. You don't have to leave the pitch if it's a head injury. Seems he did know that rule.
-
We may win, but if reports coming out of Huddersfield are anything to go by it won't be particularly entertaining as Burton will play 5 at the back, waste time from the 1st minute, foul anything that moves, roll around and feign injury to get players booked and sent off and just generally spoil in the hope of getting a point or as on Saturday all 3. Early goal or two and that game plan is pretty much ruined though.

Yep, but I'm looking forward to Fleetwood away next season That's what everybody was saying about Burton this season. Then they realised you hardly get any tickets, and it's a pain in the a*se to get to by train (don't actually know if that's the case with Fleetwood, but that's what you tend to find with these 'new' teams). So newly promoted teams by definition are more geographically remote? One's that we've never/rarely played before, yeah. So i'm thinking teams like Burton, Fleetwood, Accrington, Morecambe, Yeovil etc. Don't know my train stations well enough to guarantee all of those mentioned haven't got stadiums located next to a station, but if i'm generalising I would say it easier to get to the likes of Sheff Utd, Bradford, Bolton, Millwall. Obviously, there's exceptions both ways, especially with more and more of these new out-of-town stadiums like Reading.

Do Leeds really 'fancy their chances' of catching us? Obviously they've got to play us but they'd need to get 10 points more than us over 8 games. Incredibly unlikely IMO.
-
Two Barnsley defenders is 'interesting' given they're 19th for goals against.
-
Because they didn't break any rules. Outside the PL teams are allowed to designate up to 3 games a season as "special promotion" games where they can effectively take the p*ss by doing stuff like that. Why on earth the "special promotion" doesn't have to be extended to away fans I have no idea, but there you go. As for Sheff Wed, I get the feeling they would actually like to give us a larger allocation, as they did Villa and Leeds, but they're having some kind of ding-dong with the police, probably over costs. Hopefully it gets sorted. That doesn't excuse the ticket prices mind.
