Yeah, it was PSG away she attended. The club could really have helped her out by telling her to amend her statement a bit before it went public. Surely someone could have foreseen what the reaction was going to be?

It depends what she’s gonna be involved in really. The club are trying to attract new fans, particularly from overseas. If they want to consult about how to do that, and perhaps events they could hold overseas, or something of that ilk, then in many ways she’s perfect for that. Obviously there’s loads of other stuff she’d be far, far from perfect for, but as long as the club are sensible in what voices they listen to on each particular subject, it shouldn’t be a problem.

But you would be replacing him, even if it was for a player in a different position, he’d be taking his squad place. And if that player improves the squad overall, that’s absolutely fine. But just sacking him off and his role (however limited that is) being taken up by someone not as good, seems to have very little benefit, other than perhaps saving a relatively minor amount in wages.

Looks like he’s regressed quite a bit with injuries and whatnot since leaving us. Didn’t really cut it at Norwich, and now seems to struggle to play 90 mins in a massively inferior league.

Why would anyone want to sack Dummett off for a academy player of inferior quality, and thus weaken the squad? By all means bring in someone that’s better than Dummett, and improve the squad. But seems bizarre to just get rid of him?

However much or however little they actually contribute to any decisions, I suspect they’ll get credit for nothing and blame for everything.
