  1. They haven't won an away game since Jan 2nd. Only half-decent team they have beaten away from home is Norwich. 6-0
  2. Haven't we got a woeful record for Monday night games? Beat Villa recently.
  3. We had no strikers on the pitch and scored three times. I'm not sure that was "going for it".
  4. Know of one lad who took exception to being sent off (by a ref well-known locally for being particularly officious), so upon leaving the field sought out the referees changing room, opened his bag containing his clothes, and took a dump in it. Said lad isn't allowed to play anymore...
  5. That and why the Burton players didn't leave the pitch after they got treatment. You don't have to leave the pitch if it's a head injury. Seems he did know that rule.
  6. We may win, but if reports coming out of Huddersfield are anything to go by it won't be particularly entertaining as Burton will play 5 at the back, waste time from the 1st minute, foul anything that moves, roll around and feign injury to get players booked and sent off and just generally spoil in the hope of getting a point or as on Saturday all 3. Early goal or two and that game plan is pretty much ruined though.

Yep, but I'm looking forward to Fleetwood away next season That's what everybody was saying about Burton this season. Then they realised you hardly get any tickets, and it's a pain in the a*se to get to by train (don't actually know if that's the case with Fleetwood, but that's what you tend to find with these 'new' teams). So newly promoted teams by definition are more geographically remote? One's that we've never/rarely played before, yeah. So i'm thinking teams like Burton, Fleetwood, Accrington, Morecambe, Yeovil etc. Don't know my train stations well enough to guarantee all of those mentioned haven't got stadiums located next to a station, but if i'm generalising I would say it easier to get to the likes of Sheff Utd, Bradford, Bolton, Millwall. Obviously, there's exceptions both ways, especially with more and more of these new out-of-town stadiums like Reading.

  9. Do Leeds really 'fancy their chances' of catching us? Obviously they've got to play us but they'd need to get 10 points more than us over 8 games. Incredibly unlikely IMO.
  10. Two Barnsley defenders is 'interesting' given they're 19th for goals against.
  11. Because they didn't break any rules. Outside the PL teams are allowed to designate up to 3 games a season as "special promotion" games where they can effectively take the p*ss by doing stuff like that. Why on earth the "special promotion" doesn't have to be extended to away fans I have no idea, but there you go. As for Sheff Wed, I get the feeling they would actually like to give us a larger allocation, as they did Villa and Leeds, but they're having some kind of ding-dong with the police, probably over costs. Hopefully it gets sorted. That doesn't excuse the ticket prices mind.
  12. South Yorkshire Police have just (surprisingly) replied to a tweet I sent them asking about the allocation, saying "ticket allocation is being discussed between the police and the club next week". So hopefully a further allocation to come.
  13. Seems utterly ridiculous given they allowed Leeds almost twice as many. Can only assume it's the ko time that's made them s*it the bed.
  14. Reading always ko at 8pm. Don't know why? Possiblt something to do with the massive chow on of actually getting to the ground from Reading town centre.
  15. ..but how many games were defeats...?? We've lost one match this year in the league and look at some of the overreaction. Remind me how many times we have come from behind to get points this season... Three. Twice in the last three games. ...and to get THREE points..?? Two
  16. If we're chucking random stats out - we've only been behind in the league away from home for 129 mins all season, so not really had much chance to 'come back'.
  17. Looking at Sky's PL picks for the weekend of our game at Sheff Wed it looks like the only slot they've got left is 5:30pm on the Sat. We're planning on stopping over on the Sat night so that's fine for us but if you're planning on getting the train back after the match you'll have to get replacement buses between York and Darlington: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/currentAndFuture.aspx?TravelDate=08%2F04%2F2017&TOC=

  19. Although .com have changed what they've put up to say it's two. So it's probably two.
  20. No-one seems sure. I think it's one based on the fact didn't accumulate 5 before the cut-off to get a one-game ban earlier in the season. David David from Birmingham got his 10th booking on Feb 10th and got a two game ban but he'd already had a one game ban for reaching 5 in October.
  21. Seems to be if you got a one match ban for reaching 5 yellows, you'll get a two match ban if you get 10 before March 12th. However if, like Richie, you didn't get the first ban because you didn't reach 5 yellows before the cut off (December or whenever it was), you'll only get a one match ban if you reach 10 before March 12th. Or everyone might just get two games when they get to 10.
  22. Sheff Wed although as it was Boxing Day it's not quite the same.
  23. I reckon early KO Saturday looks the best bet. Imagine that's what the police would push for.
  24. Worse than that, we've lost them all. That's appalling Almost defies the law of averages. To be fair they were all away apart from Sheff Wed on Boxing Day, so if you want to put a positive spin on it we've won 50% of our Monday night home games over the last 4 years....
