  1. I was thinking that. Personally i couldn’t give a fuck if they took the club forward. As someone already pointed out, most owners are vile so we might aswell have a vile one that wants to win some trophies.
  2. That they have speed but don't know how to use it effectively yet? Pretty sure that was the original meaning but it gets used all the time now about any player that gets to the ball before another player. “Shows some raw pace” “Raw pace got him there” It shouldn’t irritate me but it does
  3. Commentators/pundits saying a player has “Raw Pace”. It’s an over-used term and i’m not even sure what it’s supposed to mean now that they all seem to be flinging it about in every game.
  4. Disgraceful if that’s accurate. The person commenting underneath is right, it should be sent to the BBC or Channel 4 to see if they’ll investigate it.
  5. Aye terrible. And weirdly he seems to enjoy it when his former clubs are playing badly or losing (Liverpool and Man City). Seems to still like Real Madrid though.
  6. Excellent post ? If we could get the majority of the fanbase onto this way of thinking, we’d be halfway towards getting rid of him IMO.
  7. Yeah agree with that, pretty sure it’s a couple of weeks for that type of injury.
  8. Fairly sure the same bloke once said something like he hoped Newcastle got hammered in a game because Mitro wasn't picked Lol...yes i am..long time ago...i was very pissed..and what is the point?i cant be fan becouse of 1 sentance?you will bloke me? All feel better if i said instead of something hopefull about NUFC that i wish you to be relegated?weird...or i missing a point? Not sure what this is, but it doesn’t sound nice.
  9. The current trend for every pundit saying, “watch his movement here” when analysing a goal. Fair enough when the player’s movement is exceptionally good or clever, but half the time it’s just what you would expect any footballer to do.
  10. I’d forgot about that! What a horrible little prick.
  11. Also beating Chelsea 4-2 in 1994. Just watching the YouTube highlights that are linked, Jesus, no way we'll ever get a pen that soft ever again. I was at that game. That little weasel Dennis Wise was having words with Rob Lee(?) as he was about to take that penalty. I’m not sure if that’s when we started hating Wise but i remember he got loads of abuse for the rest of the game and every match after that.
  12. Exactly and I don’t hate him either, he is a fairly non descript former player for us in the grand scheme of things with only his off-field issues and character/celebrity making him anything more, and only then because that’s what seems to interest some fans these days. Again I wish him well as a manager and he’s probably the kind of person you’d rather see more of in the game in terms of his character, but you have to be good at your job and he wasn’t good at his as a player, not for us anyway which is all I take from his time here. He was often rubbish or bang average when he played and didn’t contribute enough at all to warrant any kind of fondness of him as a player nor his time here or be considered someone relevant today regards NUFC. Jeans is a player often derided on here for example and did far more in our shirt and was the better player by far, for us and others. The one thing about Barton though, I do think he genuinely cared, loved being here and didn’t want to leave, but again you have to be good at your job... Aye, i never really understood why he was was loved by a certain section of our fans, that was well before he even put in a few decent performances for us aswell. My guess is that some of our fans just liked him cos he was a bit radge. Doesn’t impress me at all unless you can counter balance the radgeness with quality performances, which he didn’t IMO.
  13. Said this loads of times (maybe not on here) but Barton played for us for 4 years, and he had the equivalent of 1 good season. The rest of the time he was either injured, in jail, or just plain shit. Also heard him say in an interview that he “got us back up”. Did he fuck! He played about 8 games that season. Don’t hate him but he was a shit player for us and also a bit of prick.
  14. Yeah, strange thing to say to be honest Ian W.
  15. It’s absolute bollocks. The only people who believe this stupid cliche are ones from the “big clubs” who get the majority of the decisions. Ask someone from any unfashionable club and i guarantee they’ll say they’ve been screwed by officials most of the season.
  16. This. Ritchie is a good player and an absolutely huge character for us.
  17. I reckon Carragher was probably approached by Bishop to spout some shite on Sky about Newcastle fans and he refused, might explain his “it feels like Mike Ashley is starting to fight back” comment. I guess Bishop had to make do with washed up pricks like Keys, Gray and Wise
  18. My theory is that he grassed Shelvey in the “cous cous nonce” incident so Rafa banished him as he can’t be trusted.
  19. Why would he? He never bothered to respond to the criticism that he was a shit footballer so i can’t see him taking any notice of this.
  20. So should pulling someone down from the shoulder to stop a counter be a sending off too? It never will be but for me, 100%. I agree. It’s so frustrating and spoils the spectacle of the game.
  21. Much more my kind of person ?
  22. So he's no longer a bloke once he's old? Strange interpretation of what i said that Old people get colder a lot easier dont they? I wouldn’t begrudge an old bloke a brolly in the rain but i would’ve thought a younger guy could deal with a bit of rain. It was a toungue in cheek comment anyway tbh, but if one of my mates turned up with a brolly he’d definitely get the piss taken out of him.
  23. That’s different. He was an old guy then.
  24. Blokes who use umbrellas are just weird IMO.
