  1. Has Rafa actually said anything about this guy? Usually he’ll give us some info on what kind of player he is and what he’ll bring to the team, but i haven’t seen anything so far.
  2. What's the story there, btw? Same as arsenal...stadiums cost a fortune to build in London. I keep hearing people in the media saying it's difficult for Spurs to buy anyone as it's hard to improve the team. I get that it's hard to bring someone in of any great quality to be understudy to Harry Kane knowing they will not see much playing time, but they have not won anything, so surely there is plenty of room for improvement? Don’t they have a strict wage stricture? It might be difficult to significally improve their team without breaking that.
  3. This didn’t get the credit it deserved ?
  4. It needs to be something about them using slave labour and the way he treats his staff. Preferably no swearing so his pals at Sky don’t have ready-made excuse to censor it ?
  5. He’ll be in the England squad for the next World Cup ?
  6. Happy Birthday Alan! I hope you get toothache and stub your toe.
  7. I would be awesome is 1 of them got murdered. Not that i’m sick in the head or owt.
  8. Did someone say Harry Kane isn’t in the top 4 strikers in the league and only scores tap-ins and penalties? ..... oh, i see!
  9. I like Hayden, he came on leaps and bounds during our Championship season and actually finished it as a key player. I expected him to do the same in the Prem - start quite slow then grow into it. Unfortunately he didn’t, maybe because he didn’t get the chance due to Diame’s form. The way Diame played is the player i expect Hayden to eventually become, he’s definitely got the attributes IMO. I’ll be sad to lose him, there’s definitely a player there.
  10. Do i think Phillips is a good player? Yes Is he a significant upgrade on Ritchie? No Seems pointless unless we were making a big profit with those 2 deals and the money was gona be invested ( ) in other areas of the team.
  11. Sad to see him go. I was always hoping he’d get another chance once Benitez fucks off.
  12. He’s not like He is like.
  13. Kodija is awful like, he’s a total donkey. I’d be gutted if we were seriously looking at him. (And yes, he’s worse than Joselu!)
  14. When he was appointed i was pissed right off. I thought he was just a cheap, yes-man appointment for The FA, maybe he was but he’s proved to be a very good one so far. I expected him to be uninspiring and well out of his depth tactically but he looks pretty decent in both departments and seems to be a calming influence on the players. He’s not hugely charismatic in interviews but he comes across as very intelligent and thoughtful, definitely someone you want to succeed! Whatever happens after now i hope he gets a good few years to stamp his mark on the team as i like what i see so far.
  15. Would contravene rules no? I mean you'd have a club with a vested financial benefit in losing/winning/signing players outcome. I'm not sure like but just a guess Oh aye, didn’t even think of that. Heat stroke... Haha aye, sounds fairly illegal like.
  16. It's a fair enough worry when we're up against Sweden who are very good on set pieces, both attacking and defending. This is a fair point i suppose but it does seem like people looking for a problem just for the sake of it. Thinking about it, the reason it’s irritating me is mainly cos that’s the line Fat Sam is pushing on Talksport and it reeks of bitterness.
  17. I really don’t get this, “we don’t create enough chances from open play” opinion that a lot of people are going on about. Surely it doesn’t matter where our shots and goals come from? We’ve scored 9 goals in 4 games, if anyone had been offered that before the tournament started then they’d snap your hand off. If i was going to be concerned about anything, it’s probably the fact we haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet yet.
  18. I’m sure i read somewhere not long ago that he has an outrageous amount of goals for someone his age compared to some of the greats at similar stages of their careers. If he continues in that kind of vein then people won’t be able to argue with the numbers. I’ve always rated him since he was at West Brom as a teenager and he was bullying Premier League defenders for fun. The bloke is a beast but i could see why he wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea as he’s not the most elegant player.
  19. Moral of the day is..... Always remember to say Plea and thank you ?
  20. I’d imagine it would be roughly double. I think that was the deal when Man City sold Iheanacho to Leicester. Ashley would be happy with that, no doubt. Realistically they'll never buy him back will they? They have enough money to buy better and more expensive players whenever they need to. I guess it depends on how good he becomes. If in 3 years time he’s bagging 20 goals and 10 assists for a mid table Prem team then spending £40m on him rather than £60-£80m on a player from another team is a no-brainer. If they didn’t rate his potential they wouldn’t insert a buy back clause in the first place.
