I kept half an eye on his progress, mainly through the weekly loanee reports on dot com, sounded like he didn't pull up any trees and was a sub quite often.

He was apparently bought as a Midfielder but only really looked good there on the few occasions he played in a 3 with Tiote and Cabaye, they all complimented each other really well. The win at Old Trafford springs to mind as one of those games, they were brilliant that day! He looked a very capable full back though, i thought Rafa would've kept him to be honest. Best of luck to the lad!

I'm not sad to see the back of Thauvin, despite his good form for Marseille. He's got good technical ability but he hasn't got the athleticism or the bottle to survive in English football. He'll be more than happy mincing around in mickey mouse leagues for the rest of his career i reckon.

Lookman from Everton seems like a brilliant prospect. Hope he gets plenty of gametime in the Premier League either there or on loan next season.

I'm not too bothered about Caballero. He's a decent keeper but not a lot better than what we've already got and he hasn't got the kind of experience that someone like Reina has, despite being older. If we're not conifident on getting Reina then we should've gone for Begovic when he was available.

Wouldn't mind us going in for Sampdoria's Patrik Schick. He's a bit of a raw talent but i think he'd be suited to play our number 10 role behind a pacey striker. He's a big unit so should be able to handle the physicality of English football but he's got a class touch and could create a lot of chances for us i think. Not sure how much Samp would want for him mind since he's only 21 and had a great 1st season.

I'd forgotten about those 2, although i thought Cairney would be more competition for Shelvey than a no.10

Perez should be nowhere near a regular starter he's proved he's not good enough for this league we need a much better player in that role Totally agree, i'm surprised we haven't been linked with more number 10s to be honest. It's probably our weakest position along with LW. I hope we get a quality player in early in the window.

The lad looks more than decent to me, most of those goals are the type of goals that Mitro should've been scoring in the last 2 seasons if he had the hunger and instinct to get himself in those positions.

I'm amazed people are saying they don't want Reina, he's EXACTLY the type of player we need next season! He's got loads of prem experience, is still a quality goalie for his age and is also apparently a massive character in the dressing room, which we're going to need particularly when a few results don't go our way. His distribution is excellent aswell which will be like a breath of fresh air considering some of the keepers we've had recently. Rafa will want to build the team around a solid defence so signing a reliable keeper would be a class start IMO.

It needs different colours at different ends. On the outside of the east stand it should have sandstone tiles on the walls and pillars to fit in with the surrounding area more. The rest of the ground can have more freedom, I agree black cladding would look better, or even slate cladding. You could mix it black and white nicely if your brought in a decent architect, however the white would need regular cleaning, which will clearly not happen. Could even put some louvers along the Milburn and possibly the Leazers end. Lots of cheap options that would make the ground much much better. As for seats, I like the look of Juventus' stadium with the white seats, but even black ones may look better. Can't really picture in my head what the East Stand would be like but the rest sounds canny, it would be great to see the stadium looking fresh. Hopefully the fat man sends Charnley down to B&Q sometime soon.

The stadium as it is now is 20 years old, it definitely needs a revamp. I've always thought it would look a lot better with more black instead of the dull grey that covers most of it.

Smalling would probably be about the best CB signing we could make. We need someone who knows the league and has quality.
