  1. I'll ignore the fact Rafa will never do that for a second and ask who would be the wing backs? we literally don't have the bodies atm with Yedlin's injury. To be fair, we played a fair portion of the second half in that formation on Sunday. Did we? tbh i spent the entire second half in a state of frustration so i didn't notice. Aye, when Merino came on, with Ritchie and Manquillo as the wingbacks. Our best spell of the game, really.

  3. Beyond moronic, that. Doubly disappointing because I thought this was going to be his season.
  4. Gamez to step in? Can't see much benefit in Clark playing there for a few games. Lascelles looked very shaky when he came on, but at least Mbemba did well.
  5. Ahh, I've missed that feeling of abject deflation when you realise a game is gone in an instant. So glad football is back.
  6. In fairness, I don't think it has much to do with Charnley. He's always appeared onside with Rafa, and he performed admirably last summer. It'll be this Barnes c*** that's asserting Ashley's influence in all this. or agents thinking "drag it out a little, see what else comes up" I don't think so. Can't imagine Rafa being this open and vocal if it was all down to agent games. He's been vocal about not getting what he wanted. He's also been vocal in the larger piece about "Lee". I'm not sure it's the club his frustrated with and this would have been a perfect opportunity to send more coded messages that Ashley's line was my quite as it seemed. I've read that differently then. His issue, to me, is with the way 'the club' was conducting business. No such issue existed last summer. He's specifically said that our approach to transfer business wasn't what he'd been promised, so I think it's safe to say that this beef is with the club.
  7. Wagner upgrading to Premier League geps, the try hard melt.

  10. Fucking hell, man. What a guy. Nobody could have faulted him for walking away from this absolute fucking mess, but here he is. Hope the ground is fucking rocking tomorrow for this man.
  11. But it... it's right there.
  12. Good words. Seems a lot more relaxed than is portrayed.
  13. We NEED to sell because we've got far too many players...far more than you can register. No club in the country would continue buying players without shifting their deadwood. We are no different in that respect. We are very different in other respects like, but shifting players on before we bloat the squad even more is massively important. so naive man. How many players do Chelsea have, about 40 thousand or something int it? Loan shite like Haidara out and pay half of their wages if we have to. How is that naïve? It's absolutely right, and probably the reason Rafa isn't kicking off. He knows the squad needs to be trimmed. It's easy enough to say we should be doing these deals as favours to other clubs, but if there's interest there for a permanent deal, then why not explore that option? The squad needs to be trimmed, it also desperately needs another 4 or 5 players of Premiership quality. I'll let you decide which is more important. Well that certainly strikes me as the more naïve perspective on managing the squad. I think it's obvious that Rafa is of the more sensible opinion.

  15. Gamez? Manquillo? Lejuene? French? Came from the Spanish league Aye.
  16. Is it not some convoluted way of saying Loan Deal that will become a permanent one? You tell me. Fuck am I trying to second guess that tit.
  17. Ryder's story starts saying we're looking to sign permanently, and finishes with a paragraph about us looking to close the loan deal.
  18. It's all Greek to me.

Is that right? I'm sure a lot of the feedback from their fans was that it was Murphy they were more impressed with/bothered about losing.
