You probably would if we finished 8th.
-
Well those results tonight mean the 5th CL place is going to Germany.
-
He'll be knocking on the door for a pay rise if it's true.
-
Quality over quantity for next season. If we qualify for europe and a £100m budget at a guess, a CB and RW for 40-50m each and whatever's left on a young striker. Not in europe then don't bother with the striker.
-
7 in 16 = Goal every 2.3 games, so nearer 1 in 2 than 1 in 3.
-
Just to add to this, if Liverpool and WHU go out but at least win on the night it would be of some help.....
-
Or Coventry could win it
-
I don't think the points are weighted by competition, so a win in the CL is the same as a win in the ECL. Unless two of Liverpool/WHU/Villa get through tomorrow night it's pretty much over for the 5th CL spot.
-
7th would get us conference league regardless if Man U or Chelsea finish in 6th and win the cup.
-
Barring a miracle Germany have the 5th CL spot now. So we have to hope City win the FA cup instead of Man U or Chelsea, otherwise even finishing sixth would mean the conference league.
-
With Dortmund winning tonight, if Arsenal and West Ham go out to their german opponents I think that's the end of 5th being a CL spot.
-
But there is no "Wilson minus injuries" is there? Almiron had a six month purple patch and has now reverted back to type.
-
No chance, even in an inflated Saudi market, maybe half that, and a third of that if going anywhere else.
-
Wilson and Almiron off to Saudi should bring in £20-25m, enough to get in a couple of purples with what it would free up in FFP terms.
-
If the FA cup final is City vs Man U again do Man U get a EL spot even if they lose?
-
I'd keep him like. After the first choice CMs he is the first reserve in terms of quality. He was rushed back this season due to the injury crisis and has paid for it. Hopefully back for the start of next season?
-
Not if we're in europe and one of them is Callum Wilson. I'm sure we can afford to take a £10m punt this summer on a young striker from europe who'd be happy to be 3rd choice.
-
I think we're favourites for 6th now, Man U and Chelsea are the only threats. Obviously avoiding defeat at OT would be pivotal in that and Chelsea are pretty much playing twice a week for the rest of the season so that will count against them.
-
It's always a shit draw down there.
-
And Sheff Utd and Burnley in their last two games. If we were 5 or 6 pts behind we'd have a chance, but not 10.
-
Well narrows it down to three or four. Care to point him out and name him?
-
Yes, because they're not taking the piss like are they.........
-
He's still top class but due to his age realistically next season will be his last as first choice RB.
-
Well at least it puts to bed all the lifting "We need to sign a LB" crack for the forseeable.
