Something to do with Chelsea's clause. Don't know (or really care) about the specifics, but my educated guess is that they're pulling out all the stops to get this signed and sealed before kick off. Tonight was a great reminder, in the middle of a transfer window where everyone clamours for new shiny players, that this current group are fucking talented. Some absolutely beautiful football played at times tonight. Priority for me is to get the Guehi deal done and then IF a RW can be found that would improve us, do it, but if not Miggy, Murphy and Gordon who can also play there seems not the end of the world.

For what it’s worth, I’ve been told this is a matter of when (imminent), not if. Sounds like some of the players have been in touch with him this week and it’s the expectation that he’ll be through the door before the end of the week in time to play some part this weekend.
