As he’s proven over and over and over again, he’s the best manager we’ve had in the premier league era, and overreacting to every bad performance just seems completely pointless to me. There’s literally no one out there I’d trust to manage NUFC more than him, so I’d rather just get behind him.

It was the 55th min today, plenty of time to get moving. The biggest issue for me is the lack of heart and desire from some of them today.

What exactly was “shite” about the management? We hardly sat back at all… they just came on strong. We also hit the post about 3 mins before they equalised… didn’t exactly sit back.

A very good point, and a very good second half, after a mediocre first half. Frustrating that they got the equaliser, but a team as good as Leverkusen are always going to push hard. Could easily have had another couple (two off the post, two close from headers).

It’s also true that he’s been outstanding for us for 3 years so doesn’t deserve not to play.

We were under some pressure, but it didn’t feel bad to me (apart from that one missed header). But we broke on them a number of times and should have done better when our opportunities arrived. We will have spells of pressure against us in every single away game… the home team will always have a period of dominance. We dealt with it fairly well I thought. Until the dopey one in goal fucked it up.

I thought we played well first half. Could have been 2-0 up in 10 mins. Pope’s antics are what cost us the game. Really is as simple as that. We weren’t under any massive pressure at all.
