I've got tickets for me and my 7 year old!!!!! Managed to get them via work (who have a box... boxes have been offered their tickets already earlier today). Absolutely on the ceiling!!! ?

I thought the atmosphere for the majority of the first half was really good in Gallowgate / Strawberry corner, as well as the south side of the Milburn. Very flat in the second half barring the last 15 mins, but I feel like that was due to the magnitude of the game and the way the team had dropped off.

It was maybe just precautionary.

Why?

He was unreal tonight for the first 50-60 mins. Don’t particularly have a problem with the aggression he was showing in the second half… it was a very slightly mistimed tackle that ultimately became dangerous. I don’t think he was wild with it or anything. Could happen to anyone.

Don't think it's too much of an issue if Shelvey isn't replaced. We have Bruno, Joelinton, Willock, Longstaff, and Anderson all vying for CM spots, and Gordon can play there too (AM or number 10) if needed. Out wide we have ASM, Almiron, Gordon, Murphy and Fraser vying for spots, and Isak at a push. Up front, Wilson and Isak, with Gordon or Joelinton as 3rd choice. Don't think the squads too bad. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a really top quality CM to come in, but I think that's one for the summer.

I’m shitting it like. I’m confident that with the atmosphere we’ll start brightly. An early goal and I think we’ll go on to win by 2 or 3. But the longer it’s 0-0 the more nervy we’ll get. But I keep having fucking nightmares that someone will get sent off or give away a penalty in the first half.

We’ve been through this so many times. He’s an aggregator of news, very rarely breaks any story. What are his tweets adding to any of our threads? Apart from an extra voice telling us stuff we already know. He aggravates me far more than Anthony Gordon ever has / will. Mainly because he’s convinced millions of malleable morons that he is in some way the oracle.

I’m going to go out on a limb in and say that he’ll be an excellent player for us… give Eddie 6 months with him and his energy and pace will be a key component of our play.

Completely disagree with that… the music, like it or not, helps build the atmosphere. Without it were left with a dead crowd, much like the game after the Queen died. Worst atmosphere I’ve ever been in.

Think of him as a big upgrade on Murphy. He’s a big improvement in squad depth.

I thought, barring a rough edgy 10 mins, we were REALLY good in all phases apart from the penalty area. Isak and Maxi were both class when they came on. Going to be an electric atmosphere next week, especially if we grab an early goal!

I really think people are vastly overreacting to this. To me, he’s exactly the right kind of fit for a Howe team. Bit raw, but bags of potential.

I’m not disappointed with this at all. Every time I’ve seen him play he looks lively, good technique… a bit raw. Great work rate. Can see why Eddie would want him… adds some good competition for places in the wide areas ?

Not nervous about this at all. Even if Southampton put on a show for their home fans, and we lose 1-0 or 2-0, I’m still incredibly confident of beating them comfortably at home. I’m going for a 2-1 win tonight though.

But do they significantly improve the squad… yes.

Howe pretty much confirmed in his post game press conference yesterday that he's looking for ONE player. Personally think it'll be a versatile forward / attack minded player, someone who can play across the front or at number 10.
