Ahead of Delph/Danilo? You would absolutely think so, yes. Played yesterday against Chelsea for a start.
-
A tip: Only 6% of players globally have selected Benjamin Mendy. He's back fit now and will be one of the best full backs in the league. Slipping under the radar slightly with him being out all last season. Lucas Digne might be a great option too.

Wouldn't be the worst thing for Man Utd imo, would enable them to build a more balanced side. Pogba almost plays a non-role, not quite defensive, not entirely offensive and it hinders them I think. With Fred looking good, and the likes of Matic, Herrera, Pereira & Mctominay all more defensively minded, they would benefit from selling Pogba and bringing in a proper number 10, having 2 dedicated defensive midfielders and a more defined attacking 4. --------------Fred---Matic------------- Sanchez-------New 10--------Rashford -----------------Lukaku----------------

In the Championship, aye

My ex thought that all the fans got given a hymn book with all the chants in before entering the ground I'm all for that tbh.

Be the best thing that could happen to us in regards to pressure on Ashley. Plus we have nothing to lose Well we do... it would be nice to still be a Premier League team by the end of the season, whether Rafa goes or not. I'm not sure what people are getting from this befalling & ill-wishing attitude towards NUFC I've read and seen quite a bit recently.

Chin up, Jacky B.

I know, but again, we may have been relegated without the loan system working in our favour last season. Sure, we'd rather be the club that loan out players to lesser teams, but until then, if it means we get to see talent like Kenedy play for Newcastle and pick up gems like Dubravka last minute - then I'm all for it for now. I'm personally a fan of the loan-to-buy option, as it allows you to see whether or not a player is a good fit before spending the money on them, which can work out beneficially for both club & player.
-
I see your point, but I don't think it's quite so black and white. We may have been fucked last season without Kenedy and Dubravka coming in, so in that instance loans worked out very, very well for us.
-
Agree with your points. I'm a proper Perez fanboy though, have been since he arrived here. He just has that technique that's a joy to watch when he's on his game, which when coupled with his rare work rate for the type of player he is, I rank him as considerably superior and more important to the team than Gayle.

It's not that bad in terms of cleaning. All it would take is a power washer. It's the fact it's not being cleaned that's the issue. In comparison to other top flight stadiums it's the pits. I mean, I haven't seen all the grounds up close so I wouldn't know, but sure, ours should be maintained better. Dirt on bricks is hardly disastrous though and I wouldn't go as far as to say the ground looks a state as a result (in general, at least).
-
I disagree, Perez has much better technique.
-
Managed only 1 full season in the Premier League since 2014; where he scored 11 in 35 for Burnley - decent but not spectacular. Since then he's been injured pretty much.
-
No chance. Perez is definitely a better finisher.
-
Etebo starting too, looked great in the World Cup, him.
-
Chelsea midfield is wank without Kante.
-
Bernardo is great, aye. One of nicest players to watch in the league imo.
-
Foden starting for City against Chelsea in the Charity Shield. Chelsea 11 looks pretty weak, mind - although I'm looking forward to watching Hudson-Odoi. Edit: Didn't know who 'Frello Filho' or 'Rodriquez Ledesma' were, but turns out it's Jorginho & Pedro, so not that weak
-
Man it's not that bad. It's a bit of weathering on some bricks.
-
Aye, as far as I can tell he's never been played at no.10 in his professional career, rather no.9 and occasionally on the wings. It's therefore unusual how so many are considering him an option for the no.10 position.
-
Most of the Spurs 11 are back training tomorrow. Given that their 11 has remained largely the same for a few years, I don't see any reason barring injuries why the majority of them won't start the game. Will be the tough game we expect it to be, but if we can start Shelvey, Kenedy, Dubravka & one of Muto or Rondon, I reckon we can take at least a point away.
-
For me, if we're to have Rondon, Muto & one of Gayle or Joselu, I'd actually go Joselu as he's a good option to bring in to help close games out. As limited as he is, he's quite dependable, combative and can be very good in the air. I'm not sure what use we would have for a player like Gayle if Muto is the player we're expecting.
-
I hate watching him play for us, that’s all. Yeah, nowt against Dwighty, but as a player I couldn't bare watching him for most of last season. Even more frustrating than Joselu for me given that he actually got himself into decent positions and completely wasted chances time after time with poor first touches and finishing. Just one of those players I never quite clicked with, which is rare because I tend to like most players who pull on our shirt. I always felt his head went down far too quickly too, but maybe it's just his natural demeanour and I'm getting him wrong.
-
Yeah I'm really excited for our game & seeing the new lads get their first run-outs at St James' despite the best efforts of our owner to zap the spirit and feel good factor from the club. That said I won't be buying tickets or anything else.
