  1. Looks a little bit like a mix between Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo. He's a better player than them both, though.
  2. Been watching some videos of him, I find those clips where they show a players every involvement in a single match a decent way to get a basic understanding of how a player operates in game - at least more so than highlight reels. He seems very intelligent in that he reads the game well, stepping out to stop danger before it builds momentum. In the game I watched (Basel v Chelsea) he was constantly looking for long passes forward - diagonals into the channels and was successful more often than not. He was also taking free kicks from deep meaning he is trusted as a good passer of the ball. The one negative I noticed was him overplaying slightly at times and giving away short passes in congested areas, but the fact he was willing to try means he trusts his footballing ability and wants to get involved which bodes well. Definitely a ball-playing/playmaking centre back. Quite excited by him, tbh.
  3. Strikers don't like him, rock Fabian Schär, rock Fabian Schär.
  4. Doubt that's the case here. He barely featured for Japan (1 sub appearance iirc) and Rafa is far more thorough in his planning than that I'd think.
  5. Chelsea are such weird fuckers man
  6. I remember the days of Sisto, Berisha, Plea, Townsend links. Man, those were the days. Fwiw, I would be excited about Muto. I haven't seen much of him, but I signed him on Fifa some years ago for us and he was great.
  7. Decent signing if true. Much needed if Lejeune is out for a little while. Hopefully he can join the squad in Portugal so Rafa actually has a chance to work with him. Transfer window remains a shambles regardless tbh.
  8. I know you hate him but that’s a bit harsh. Not really sure what the point of of editing a months old post about me saying I just didn't rate a player and thought he was getting by on memories and reputation into that was like, but crack on.
  9. Knee injury, being assessed in the coming days. If there's nee injury he should have been playing Right you are, joey.
  10. ydrc Yer da reads Cosmopolitan?
  11. Aye, looked comfortable in both roles (advanced in the first half before dropping deeper into midfield in the second). Nicked the ball well high up the pitch a few times, and his height means he can get into physical duels too. Promising signs.
  12. The quest for that elusive baggie. "Leave uz on that pal, a fuckin love tabs when am comin up"
  13. Aye, stomped a few buckets at HT too, on a one.
  14. No idea, I just can't remember or imagine Schurrle playing as a out and out striker/centre forward though. He has always looked more effective coming from out wide.
  15. Schurrle is a winger so probably not. Unless it leaves them skint, but I doubt it as they very much need a new striker - whether it's Mitrovic or someone else.
  16. They must have some great negotiating tactics like Fair play to them. Suppose the fact they're based in one of London's more affluent areas must help a fair bit.
  17. It's my internet tbh, I went to post that comment about 5 minutes ago and switched tabs whilst it was posting to here.
  18. Fernandez again looking good. Seems a bit of a signature move if his to gain a yard or two on his man and deliver a dangerous ball into the area. Promising signs from him.
  19. Now it's my time to shine. Godspeed my friend, you have earned this.
  20. Yeah he's done some good things here, Fernandez, liked the look of him last year too. Definitely has something about him.
