  1. Fuckin hell man, we’ve been competing in 4 competitions and as things stand still in there… a good win midweek and everything good again eh…
  2. A couple of seasons ago before the Southampton semi final the whole town was bouncing… there were queues to get in bars and the pre match atmosphere was great.. Last night was totally different… ok, it was the 1st leg and Man City… but howay man, it’s a fuckin cup semi final… the place before and during should have been electric… I totally get not everyone wants to sing and shout for 90 minutes… but to sit motionless when we get corners etc and start applying a load of pressure is beyond me… boils my slash…
  3. We always get a great chance in the first 10 minutes, especially at home… take it and the whole dynamics and atmosphere changes… Problem is we’re not taking them and it’s not just Wissa who’s guilty… but christ, the 2 misses in the last couple of games were shocking… and it’s got fuck all to do with him coming back from injury… still think he’ll come good, just hope it’s soon…
  4. Just put away the gilt edged chance we’ll get in the first 10 minutes… Then destroy the fuckers over the next 80….
  5. Good news…. To be competitive we need 4 quality centre backs… Probably need to buy a top class one but I’d have Botman as one of the 4 without question…

Needs to start taking straightforward chances… it’s why we bought him…
  7. Louder and constant singing isn’t the main challenge we’re up against.. for me, it still continues to be the positioning of like minded fans… Leeds have great support but they’re looking to bounce off the fans sitting nearest to them ie Level 7… in its tribal nature there’s nothing better than goading the opposition throughout the game, it simply generates more noise and activity… and last night would have been the perfect opportunity to send the atmosphere through the roof… Problem is L7 continues to be diluted as historical, regular fans move and are replaced by families and day trippers… I’m still up there for now and witness this every match and it’s noticeable how much it’s fallen away… so apart from the odd game, it’s only going to get worse.. and from a safety point of view the club are probably happy with this… So whilst the gallowgate corner are no doubt giving it their best efforts, the away fans a) find it difficult to hear them and b) doesn’t really have much of an impact as they’re about 20 miles away… Stick the fans next to each other, get a bit of eye contact going and turn a blind eye to foul language and obscene hand gestures…. That’ll sort it….
  8. 1. Keegan all day every day. It wasn’t just the football club, he simply loved the whole city the fans the people, just everything about Newcastle... And I’ll always be grateful to this wonderful man… 2. Sir Booby… probably similar to the above and a true gentleman… 3. Eddie… delivered last season and made sure after 50 years of supporting this team I can finally rest easy knowing I’ve seen us win something… 4. Arthur Cox… those 2 seasons travelling all over between 82-84 were extra special. As was the forward line of Keegan, Beardsley and Waddle… 5. Rafa… great job under difficult circumstances and a twat of an owner…
  9. Hope Schar recovers quickly but this has presented an ideal opportunity to go out and bring in a top class centre half… Not necessarily a player for the future but an established, experienced vocal leader who commands the back 4. Someone to play alongside thiaw and really drive us forward in the 2nd half of the season… just not sure who…
  10. Injuries have presented Miley with an opportunity to play on a regular basis, albeit not his natural position and he’s jumped all over it. This is exactly what he needed and the more matches he starts the more he’ll improve and continue to grow in confidence as an established first team player. Had he not played as an emergency right back he’d still be a fringe player, similar to Anderson, so for young lads with potential, take whatever opportunity you can and give Eddie a big fuckin selection headache going forwards….
  11. Beat this Kev you legend… Best thing to ever happen to NUFC in my lifetime… the fuckin King…
  12. Just win the CL this season and qualify automatically….

    Nick Woltemade

If he can put away 2 out of 4 every week that’ll do for me… he was class today, great player who gives 100%, no hiding….
  14. One things for sure… match day experience was certainly more enjoyable back then…
  15. Aye there was wit, humour, and laughter with like minded mates.. basically an all day event with great times in the leazes and corner… my point being about actual match atmosphere… it definitely wasn’t great for every one I attended..
  16. There were plenty of matches from the late 70’s and 80’s when going to stand on the terraces certainly wasn’t a thrill.. and for some games throughout most seasons the atmosphere was shite too… Obviously a lot would depend on the opposition and/or how the team was performing as it does now.. Man city, Sheff wed, Chelsea, Barnsley always spring to mind as good home games for atmosphere. And probably the anticipation of potential shenanigans after the game helped drive enthusiasm..Orient, Grimsby and Cambridge not so… If proper, well thought out singing ends and atmosphere etc aren’t a priority for the club, nothing will change… pay for your ticket, buy as much food and drink as possible and enjoy the show….
  17. Until you have a singing end next to away fans, with the exception of a few games, we’ll struggle to create the best atmosphere… simple as that… Whilst the gallowgate corner certainly do their best I’m afraid it doesn’t have a massive impact up on level 7 and therefore the away fans too… hence the reason most churn out the ‘where’s you famous atmosphere’ shite… fans getting at each other, obviously not physically, generates more noise and emotion and has a positive knock on effect around the rest of the stadium.. That said I’ve been to most games since the early 80’s and have experienced my fair share of shite atmosphere over the years…
  18. Trippier certainly isn’t the answer… but effective leadership is…
  19. Every team needs natural leaders and Trippier is one of the few we have… as much as I admire Bruno’s enthusiasm I don’t believe he’s the player to grab the team by the scruff of the neck or alternatively compose and motivate players with words and advice… problem is we don’t have other leaders throughout the the team who can do the job… we don’t have vocal keepers, we’ve young full backs, steady centre halves, and attacking players who seem to go missing… Tonali is having a dip in form and big Joe is obviously carrying injuries… not a great amount of leadership to call on…
  20. Surely we can drive business with Gordon… I do like him and I also like the running down the wing song… problem is I just don’t trust him or his commitment for every match… if Liverpool still want him say fine, we’ll take gapko in exchange… Anything to save fuckin around trying to buy players outright again and ending up with the disappointment of pre season…
  21. He drips with ambition he drips with ambition Davy Hopkinson he drips with ambition…

I’d hate to sit behind some of the miserable fuckers on here on match day… must be a fuckin joy…

Course it’s debatable… but all this talk of age…. Sheringham, Ferdinand, Defoe even… all decent proven strikers who moved and succeeded the around or the wrong side of 30… We’ve brought in 6 decent signings, moved out some ‘squad’ players and had little choice with Isak… cup half fuckin full here mate….

Outstanding transfer window… much stronger all round squad now…
  25. Football with all its rules is a totally different world now… we’ve just sold a sulky little twat for 130m bastard quid… forget about all the noise from the media… who’s to say that wasn’t what we would have taken anyway and we drove the price up from £110m… and maybe that all falls in place with our financial plans… We can flex as much muscle as we want but whether we like it or not, until we’re up there with the Big 6 we’re still going to have to box clever… and fuckin about with Isak is pointless… we need to focus on the league and cups, do well in the champions league and generate more income…
