  1. Cautious not edgy. Simon Jordan reckons it’s all over: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/simon-jordan-newcastle-takeover-pif-19338519
  2. This weeks progress: photos of a stottiecake and a portion of skeleton.
  3. The fact that the stottie looks exactly like Steve Bruce means the deal is off and we have him for ever. :'(
  4. Only shelvey happy as Bruce let’s him have a lie in and concentrate on “long kicks”

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/a-covid-safe-protest-outside-the-sol.1534208/ Bedsheets. Thought this was too classy a club for that kind of thing?
  6. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/steve-bruce/profil/trainer/447 How can anyone look at that and employ him. It’s fucking tragic.
  7. Eh, have they? Well, kind of: “ This is turgid. The idea that Bruce has done a brilliant job is prefaced on results but they've had one win in five now. In four of those games they've been comprehensively outplayed and in the draw they got even a Bruce fan in Chris Sutton accused them of anti-football. Too often this season, it's felt like Newcastle analysis bears little relation to what happens on the pitch but at least we had Humphrey to ask whether there might be a correlation between manager and performance. There are questions for Bruce, not the supporters after another supine performance.”
  8. Chronic’s now turned on him. This job will finish him.
  9. Product of our rotten owner. 10 tries to get better than him in and they all refused Ashley’s 30 pieces of silver. This Judas didn’t. At least he’s keeping his own abysmal managerial record on target. Disgrace to 21st century football management.
  10. I don’t think this fella will get any criticism. Even when he takes us down. Oh to be an old school, white, English premier league manager. No pressure to perform.
  11. They would not seek arbitration on a deal that is off. That’s the club. Not the group.
  12. It is off like. And it was a group statement. Not PIF: “With a deep appreciation for the Newcastle community and the significance of its football club, we have come to the decision to withdraw our interest in acquiring Newcastle United Football Club,” You can’t a get much clearer statement than that like. Put as much positivity out as you like but anything other than the deal being formally off is just speculation, at the moment.
  13. You need a balance of optimism and reality. The deal is off. However, if the PL are proved to be in breach then they will be fined, I guess heads will roll and the potential to undertake another takeover bid has a lot more chance of being successful.
  14. Can we stop with this sort of shit please, her husband to be was murdered by the state trying to take us over because he dared to speak out over there abhorrent practices, she has every right to try as hard as she can to make life difficult for the people that made it happen. And I say that wanting the takeover to succeed. Soz Eddy
  15. This about compensation for a failed takeover or for another go at a takeover?
  16. Thing is it has failed. That’s what all the legal shite is about. Hopefully when the legal shite is resolved they come back in for us.
  17. As negative as ever I see. You know me Scoot But let’s recap the facts: Buyers officially withdraw offer Manager confirms deal dead Owner starts legal proceedings due to failure of sale PL says nothing to answer to wrt breach of competition act. To counter that we have: Mimms posts (hope he really has a contact by the way) and a couple of old fellas posting telling everyone one that no news is good news (I admire their optimism). A bloke posting about bread and a few Twitter likes to fans

You’ve got to scroll a long way down the bbc scores page to find their result!
  19. Yet to be proved and potentially libellous. NUST need to be pretty astute with their approach when they enter into dialogue with professional organisations.
