Couldn't agree more. If somebody offered me a league title but that time would have never existed, I'd say no thanks. I'm with you 100%. I wouldn't swap a single thing. Winning the title with Rafa (who I could also get emotional about) would not have been the same. Those few years, man they were simply the best.

What is there to say about the man God? That he gave me the most exciting time I've had in my life? Watching his teams was simply the best. He will forever be special. He knew exactly what we wanted and craved for, and delivered it in bucket loads. It would have been the icing on the cake to have won the league, but, you know, missing out on that has not dimmed the glory he gave our club, our fans, the city. ...and look at what we have now....
-
After the glorious football City have provided us with over the last few years, one 'average for them but stunning for anyone else' season and you think the manager should go? Replaced with? Bruce, perhaps? Your comment is a joke.....

Is anyone else as pissed off as I am about our hero's total lack of comment or support for what we are trying to achieve? Has he been so totally swallowed up by the commercial income, corporate talk and money that he has forgotten his roots? He could have been a shining light in the fight against the PL. Local hero to zero? so incredibly sad - wake up AS, wake up!

This is never going to be resolved quickly. The PL will certainly not cave in and make a quick decision - how could they? The threats of legal action may spur them on, but it won't make them change their mind. This is always assuming the bid still stands. We don't know that, despite Stavelys comments. All the MP's have done is demand clarity and transparency. They've not demanded the approval of the purchase. PL will not crumble........sadly.

OK, I've lost the last few days and have no idea what's been written on the 1,795,264 pages of this thread since the announcement that Stavely & co have made about withdrawing the offer. It could well be that what I'm about to type has been said a thousand times, so if it has then I apologise, but here goes... Could it be that Stavely, Saudis et all had got so pissed off with PL prevarications, inane irrelevant questions that went on and on and on that they just said 'fuck them, let's withdraw the offer, stop all talk about future funding and TV bidding. Let them stew in their own juice and sit and think, in the cold light of the day, that they've been arseholes and will maybe regret this massively in the days and weeks to come'. 'We'll sit back, let them stew and when the shit has settled, come back with another bid but on our terms with the crap that the PL have been dishing out on us'. The Saudi's and Amanda are very far from stupid and it's the sort of tactic I've used a few times in my corporate career. It's worked almost every single time. ...or am I just Strawing at the clutches?

Depends on ASM and whether or not we manage to sign another mad bastard. More mid table cloggers though and we're absolutely down. There is no doubt in my mind that without ASM and a few extraordinarily lucky results, we'd be down - dead and buried. And a big part of me regrets not being so....

Quote from Charlie fucking Nicholas: 'Some Newcastle fans are questioning how dare we suggest Steve Bruce has done as good a job as Rafa Benitez, but come on guys, he has. A lot of people didn't want him there, didn't like the style, but I think he's been more attacking than Rafa. Not as well-drilled defensively, but for what he had, and what he's done, Allan Saint-Maximin's been a good signing, Miguel Almiron has enjoyed himself, Joelinton's been a bit of a disaster though. He ended up playing a decent attacking style which Newcastle fans would, if they're sitting over their beer in the stadium, say he did a good job but not as good as Rafa - you'd say really? The position he finished in the league? There wasn't even one bit of sweat on the brow about going down, which you got with Rafa' Just what are idiots like this guy on? How much is Ashley paying him? 'A decent attacking style'? Was he watching the same games as us? Cunt of the first order.....

I've watched and listened to everything without saying too much. A bit tired of ITK's and 'I think' or 'I believe' or 'I've heard' speculation. Clearly the PL are going very deeply into this and have asked /demanded many questions about the Bein issue, human rights and ownership. Probably way too deeply - seen to be doing the right thing as much as actually doing the right thing. At what stage will prospective new owners start threatening legal action against the PL in an effort to force a decision one way or another? I suspect that lawyers are preparing a civil suit right now. It's what most big companies do if takeovers are frustrated and delayed, in my very real experience. ...and I think the PL will be shitting themselves if this happens, because they will lose. Let the court case begin...... mark my words, the threat is there already.

This is a really impressive collection of high ranking results with absolutely top class teams. I'm not surprised that all the wonderfully impartial commentators rate him so highly. Good to see his impressive credentials.... I fear for our future success thinking that perhaps Liverpool, Man City or his beloved Man United would be after him in the off season......

I'm pretty certain Watfords money will be safe - down you go Watford. Hurrah!!!! The way they treated this guy is disgraceful. Just a shame effing Villa will stay up!
-
And shagging ladyboys Racist is 100% out of order. Ladyboys? Not so sure.....

I tar him with the same brush as his son, not much no nonsense parenting going on there. I'm showing my ignorance - who is his son? Story behind this?

One more match with this clueless cunt of a dinosaur as our 'Head Coach' Pray to any God that will listen....... ...but at least he gave us attacking football, pleased all the biased useless fucking commentators and pundits, beat any record that Rafa ever had in his lifetime and is 'one of our own'. Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will not be missed. Not one iota. -
I've always liked the guy. Basic but decent. No nonsense but a real human being under his steel like skin. Watford are mad and deserve to go down for this shameful decision. Hope the guy get a decent club - he deserves it.
-
I'm sorry like but this isn't fair. Just look at Liverpool. Arguably the best attacking side in the world right now but look at some of their results recently. The great attacking sides always go through blips of form. We're having ours now after playing our best attacking football in years. To quote the great john McEnroe - 'you can't be serious!' 'great attacking sides and Newcastle United do not belong in the same sentence.
-
100%. I watch and listen to SBR and Rafa and look at what we have now and weep. We had gold in our hands and let it slip through our fingers, for what?
-
...and he has done a quite spectacular job at Wolves too. I like the guy and what he stands for........I wonder if a BIG club will come calling?

Why do you always forgive the unforgivable? Your support for your club is admiral, your support for Bruce is not....... -
Now that's a real article! Hard to disagree with a single word.
