  1. My Grandad also said White was the best CF we’ve had. A family friend from that generation said similar. His record is pretty decent tbf.
  2. Nah that’s a fair point. It’s more the attitude of certain people on Twitter that’s irked me. We have to realise the situation we’re in. Certain clubs had no intention to sell to us. Some players wouldn’t come due to our current circumstance and obviously due to ffp we don’t have a blank cheque book to spend whatever we want.
  3. There's some absolutely woeful patter on Twitter regarding the transfer window. Yes it could've been better but it wasn't helped by Sevilla, Lille and Man U being twats. Just spent 90 million quid but last summer we wouldn't pay a loan fee for Hamza Choudhury ffs. I know there's some divvy's among our support but I hope it's not something that's going to become a common theme.
  4. He is and always was a thin skinned little bitch.
  5. I can concur with this from personal experience. I was pretty gutted to discover that myself. However at the same time, i discovered Rob Lee is an absolute gent. So ying & yang.
  6. That was the game that I turned vehemently Pardew out. Shower of shit 😂
  7. Pretty offensive and insulting to the fan base. Most had Bruce clocked from day dot for the shithouse he is/was. Shearer is a legendary player but very much from PFM school.
  8. Lived in Manchester for the last 7 years. Absolutely can't wait to my first game in long time. Even though if it is against a quality Chelsea side. Early doors in The Trent House before the game and then probably rant about the sub par performance in The Bodega post match. Genuinely ecstatic to be rid of that fat cockney bastard. Would love a score draw but can only see a Chelsea win.

On Twitter on any of these stories regarding Newcastle, the takeover, Bruce etc. You see a load of Mackems just spouting off. It’s rather pathetic really. Living rent free doesn’t even cut it. I saw a comment this afternoon from one trying to have a go about, where’s this supposed investment in infrastructure and area improvement we kept talking about from the new owners. It’s been 2 weeks ffs 😂
  10. Would be interested to see the conversations between the new lot and Penfold regarding his contract etc. The consortium will be looking at all things commercially and thinking wtf is this?
  11. It's more than that though. It's case of the atmosphere and feel good feeling on Sunday could be huge. If we pick up a point or even better 3. That could be a real springboard into Palace and beyond. That disgrace of a manger will only bring the fans and the players down.
  12. That's me who he's replying to on Twitter and it's literally led to me cancelling my membership. Shower of shite that lad.
  13. 100%. Thought the same myself. Nice, chilled Sunday. Watch the start of a new beginning. Win, lose or draw. The journey starts here. Hopefully without that fat pig stinking out the dugout.
  14. There's now loads of smug back slapping all over Twitter. "Yeah we're on Sky Sports News and numerous radio stations. Good to see we're still doing nowt though" It's like, do one. You essentially had your hand forced to get off your arse and actually do something and now you're going on like it was some sort of master plan.
  15. Very much seems to be the case judging by the stuff he likes on Twitter and the way he's gone on in the last 24 hours. His sneering, sanctimonious and generally arsehole attitude has very Tory boy flavour to it.

Has anyone in the media pulled up Southgate about his poor in game management? Not sure if it’s stubbornness or incompetence on his part because it’s a consistent problem and seems like it’ll continue to be.
  17. One of the cornerstones of the Premier League is thick lines.
  18. The comparisons between Bruce and Luke Edwards are quite intriguing tbh. Ignorant, arrogant & sanctimonious men who are well out of their depth in their respective professions.
  19. It seems that way and they all seem pretty poor tbh. I think you find a better understanding of what's going on with nufc on here than you do on any those fan podcast. So i really don't see the draw.
  20. Just re-watched the highlights of that game on the BT Sport website. A million miles away from the current dross we're witness to.
  21. I've never seen that before. Was surprised how very respectful Cole was there. I'll still view that decision with a mixture of anger, confusion and disappointment. It was ridiculous to sell him in his prime and even more so to a title rival. Funny to see that even back then the media somehow managed to squeeze in potshots and digs. Glad to see something's never change.
  22. The irony being that he's from Portsmouth. Love Ginola having none of it.
  23. Mate of mine is a Man U fan and works for a financial services company in Manchester. Deals with a lot of Business Manager's of footballers. Asks one of them. "Where's is Chris Smalling going next season. Back to Roma?" He only response was. "I can tell you where he's not going. Newcastle" We must be in the doldrums this season in regards to transfers.
  24. The thing that really annoys me at present. One shithouse journo be it Bird, Edwards or whoever else reports something without any source or proof and then the rest of the rags follow suit to 1. Get clicks and 2 Give the bollocks their writing some semblance of credence. Rinse and repeat for nearly 20 weeks.
