Bellerin kicked up a stink on Arsenal Fan TV apparently... Just earned the guy a bucket load more publicity and money
-
Was just wasting my life reading through his timeline. I'm not one for believing the media has an agenda, but this guy is a borderline mind up merchant when it comes to us. Responded to one guy that questioned his criticism of us for wanting him out when compared to questioning him at WBA now, by saying Pardew has spent more time in PL than us in last 2 years then blocked him.

Not worthy of a thread - 2018 FIFA World Cup edition

Players outside the top six that have gone to last three tournaments.. 2016 - Heaton, Bertrand, Forster, Vardy 2014 - Forster, Lallana, Foster, Jagielka, Baines 2012 - Butland, Jagielka, Green, Baines (Martin Kelly went ) The best players of any nationality will always naturally elevate themselves to the top clubs. When you combine that with English players not going abroad for whatever reason, you'll always going to see a the same clubs make up the bulk of a national side. Obviously there are going to be exceptions, but I'd say English players playing outside the top clubs aren't actually that talented at all. There is a huge amount of total garbage playing regularly in the PL, and a lot of players that despite many seasons playing in the PL have never got near to a call up. If you look at Spainish national squad, whilst being hugely competitive, they've still been able to draw plenty of players from sides outside their big clubs. Likewise with Germany. Maybe, and hopefully it's changing now - but it's got to be a case of English clubs producing a comparatively low level of footballer. -

Portsmouth got to a FA Cup final before finally plummeting to near oblivion.

Remember them constantly drawing and Lee Bowyer being touted for England under McLeish

Aye, spotted that too! Doumbia, Schurlle, Batshuayi , Borini, Thauvin, Balotelli, Fernandes, Januzaj, Fischer, Depay + some fella that was on loan at Charlton scored for AEK Depay's goal was a beaut!

Yeah, it'll move down to next highest who hasn't qualified though cups. So Arsenal could finish 6th, win this or the league cup and it'll go to 7th. Then Man City win the FA Cup, and it goes to 8th, which is where we finish after our amazing turn of form and climb up the table. Rafa not playing Mitro was a long term plan to get back into Europe through fair play

Just seen McLeish is next Scotland boss

Depending on how serious some of those other big teams take it this year, not sure Arsenal have a realistic chance of winning this at all.

Disappointing by the lack of stunning Swedish blondes being shown in the crowd, must just be a World Cup thing

Can compare it to when Arsenal played Sutton last season, and they managed to compete better than this. Rather naive and just playing into Arsenal's hands so far.
-
Fair play to him, has deserved it. Have looked far better and much more solid with him in the team of late. Here's hoping by 2022 where in a position where one of our better players isn't, well Paul Dummett.
-
Aye, that sums up PSG project rather well. Can look mustard spanking Dijon 8-0, but a little naive when it comes to matching up with the big boys.

Not sure managing at that circus should have too much of a reflection on a manager's career. Must be a nightmare of a club to manage upwardly and down. However Emery's outlook or philosophy of how his team should be paid is going to be a struggle at best to get across, let alone having to suddenly build a team to function around Neymar and Mbappe in a few weeks of pre-season. Unless you're a manager with a huge reputation it's going to be impossible to get that squad following what your vision is to the letter, even then you're just better of letting the tail wag the dog in the case of Ancellotti/Ibra, and wait for the pay-off.

Neymar's best use of his talent would have to stuck at Barca. Stuff about him wanting to be the main man at PSG that's constantly in media is garbage. Could have quite easily been that at Barca, just they would never publicly or even privately endorse that. He'd have to go out on the pitch and allow the world to recognise that. At this stage of Messi's career he really isn't the competition for the limelight that he would have been a few years ago under Pep's tenure that obviously ruffled Ibrahimovic's delicate sensibilities.

PSG are a fraud themselves for me. Never considered them real CL contenders, anymore than seasons before. No doubting they've some quality players, and on their day they can be a match for anyone. Can't see them ever winning the CL for as long as they approach the game with the Ibra/Neymar ethos. Sides that enforce a team first mentality in their squad, and can then mix world class players with a team approach on the pitch will always edge them. They just seem to want to have a talisman, and then assemble good players around him.
-
Neymar clearly thought so too. Kicking a ball in his head. 4-0 Liverpool

Ronaldo standing over a free-kick is the biggest anticlimax in football.

Is it a foul? As he easily could’ve carried on unhindered. Is it not just contact? Silly contact admittedly. Not a foul in the classic sense no, but he's trying to drag Kross back so is fouling him and has impeded his run.
