  1. Is the wife really that unbearable on a Tuesday night?
  2. Did Darlow get an assist for the goal?
  3. John Percy seems to think Newcastle will offer a free loan, but if the team wins promotion they have to pay £20 million for him. I was surprised to read Gayle is on £60,000 per week.
  4. Its 2 years worth of steady decline which he seems to have no answers for (its Messi that has bailed him out countless times) - this season has been worse, they can barley string a performance away from home - playing a turgid 4-4-2 hasn't helped - should have got rid of him end of last season Barca's recruitment has been very poor recently (take De Jong and Arthur to one side), so that part of Barca needs looking into also I completely agree with the reasons for sacking Valverde, the Barcelona board have just been very unprofessional in how they have gone about it. Whoever signs the players should be sacked as well, lots of money wasted on the likes of Coutinho and Malcolm.
  5. Whatever you think of Valverde as a manager, the way Barcelona have treated him in the last few days has been a disgrace. If you want to sack him then just do it now and put a temporary replacement in charge instead of undermining him as they are now. This situation helps nobody. It is strange they have decided he is not up to the job on the back of a meaningless semi final defeat in the Spanish equivalent of the Community Shield. Clearly losing out on a huge cash windfall from an El Clasico in Saudi Arabia meant more to them rather the two 2nd leg collapses in the Champions League in the last 2 years.
  6. I can't believe he had the audacity to blame the amount of matches Newcastle have had to play as to why there are so many injuries. To use that excuse against Wolves who have more played more matches and had a tougher schedule during Christmas than anyone else yet have less injuries than Newcastle is embarrassing. He has been managing for over 20 years he should know as well as anyone that the Christmas period is tough physically and should be prepared to manage it. Luck plays its part for sure, but the fact the amount of injuries has happened at every club since Sunderland he has been at suggests there is a pattern. I won't pretend to know what he does on the training ground with the players, but we know he has rushed players back too soon and ran others into the ground because he won't rotate. He said Saturday he hasn't changed much as a manager. Maybe he should reflect on that and consider a new approach.

    Joelinton

Hes doing the same thing with Joelinton now. He has to play through the pain barrier against Wolves and is asking to play again. He has played every match since Christmas surely he needs a rest as does Fernandez and maybe Dubravka. You can't complain about the tough schedule then do nothing to work around it.

    Sunderland

I'm not sure why some people were ruling out the possibility they could go up. They were only 9 points from the top of the league before beating Wycombe now they are only 6 points off the top with a game in hand. Its a tight league, its a s*** league and they might just peak at the right time.
  9. Southampton's form since losing 0-9 to Leicester has been impressive. I wish we had a manager like Hasenhuttl. Ings will surely be in the next England squad.
  10. Leeds fucking up promotion again.

Support the team not the regime. https://twitter.com/rossgregory9/status/1216035944517775362
  12. This is a good read. Bielsa is some character, I hope to see him in the Premier League next season.

  14. Thanks for implanting that image in my brain. That emoji doesn't help either.
  15. The more I see from us the less confidant I would say Newcastle are staying up. The team just looks a mess. Remember when everyone knew their roles under Benitez with Bruce it just looks very confused. We have got worse as the season has progressed not better. There is no goals in the team, defence has lost its organisation, midfield is shite and you get the feeling we have used up a lot of luck in the first half of the season. Wolves, Chelsea, Everton, Norwich and Arsenal up next. If you are clinging on against one of the worst teams in League 1 then you have big problems.

    Joelinton

He has never been a goal scorer, its madness Newcastle paid £40 million for Joelinton to replace the goals lost from Rondon and Perez.

    Joelinton

He was not good enough today and he has had a lot of bad matches this season, but I still think we would see more quality from him if we had a better manager and coaches. Rondon didn't have a strong reputation before he joined last summer, but we had a good manager in Benitez to get the best from him. I can barely count on one hand the players which have improved under Bruce this season.
  18. That was good play by him ffs Seriously?? If you think that was good play then you've not been watching decent strikers much have you. The first touch was s*** and the scuffed weak effort sums the absolute plank up hes f***ing rotten at everything he does
  19. Fernandez must be vulnerable to injury as well. Surely Cass could have started at centre back instead of Kraft if Bruce is playing with a back three?
