I agree with Willock for Barnes and Tino for Trips, and also Murphy for Elanga. Willock better with defensive work and also good for counter, and Barnes been playing lots lately. Tino for the 1 v 1 defending vs Raphinha or Rashford and gets us up the pitch, but Trippier will likely be preferred for his experience. Elanga good for counter, but we need Murphy's end product more.

Fantastic edit 🥹 -
It is great to have good squad depth if we want to play in Europe year in year out. We can pick players based on their form
-
He did well defensively today. I wonder if he needs a break as he has been playing loads of minutes lately. I won't be against the idea of starting Willock at LW vs Barca and bring him on if we need a goal

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

That 3rd goal was totally on Botman, not Ramsdale -
He is dependable as ever. Whenever he comes from injury, he plays well straightaway.
-
Europa League qualification is still a realistic goal

Certified loss then -
he is so frustating to watch. great athlete but not so good as a footballer. Just watched the highlights again at around 15 minutes 1st half Ramsey played him through and as good of an athlete as he is, he took so long to get into his strides. First touch is often what separates a decent player from a really good one. Isak is not as fast as him obviously, but give him that kind of chance he will almost certainly score.

Really good goal that though

PSG v Chelsea quite an entertaining game as expected
-
Why does he seem so positionally undisciplined and leave his assignment (Dani Olmo) freer than a free-range chicken, especially during crunch time? Against weaker teams we get away with that often but we got punished right at the death last night
-
Immediately reminded me of Cacapa
-
He is consistently good. Deserves to play week in week out
-
Oozes class every time he plays. He is now undoubtedly our best player
-
I think this is what our lineup will be, but I personally like to see Willock start ahead of Elanga at RW
-
Seems terrible defending against Doku. So passive. Elanga should be more aggressive and close Doku down and force him to make a decision while Trippier marking him
