  1. i think the atmosphere at the Strawberry Corner was very good tonight, especially during the first half. Mind, tonight was only my 10th or 11th time at the stadium, so I can't really compare with the previous big matches. This time I sat at the Gallowgate End, fairly close to the corner. Atmosphere wise, I really enjoyed it.

Been consistently fluffing chances in recent games. His pressing also seems quite half arsed. Disappointing to say the least.
  3. we need to be much much better at keeping the ball before calling ourselves a possession side. We are consistently not good at it. We need more players with good technical ability who can pass and dribble, like Lewis Hall
  4. just watch the YouTube vid in the previous page, though he was being rude not to Howe but to the journalist
  5. Tonali will probably start, although should probably be rested this game having played 120 mins. I don't mind seeing Bruno play number 6 with Ramsey and Joelinton in front of him. Ramsey in particular deserves more game time with his recent showing.
  6. Supporters have different personalities, and not everyone wants to scream or shout at the top of their lungs for the entire game. The fact that those supporters travelled far to attend the game in itself showed a high degree of commitment and effort. We pride ourselves on our passion, but honestly there is no need to bring supporters of other teams down or call them names. I lived in Bournemouth for 2 years, and have met some great AFCB supporters there. The guys who run the "Back of the Net" Youtube channel seem pretty cool people. Lol, some of you guys are going to reply "Lighten up". Whatever haha. We are cool.
  7. People on this forum seem generally very harsh on him. I don't think there are many better 2nd choice keepers than him in EPL
  8. Scotland is drooling over him
  9. I just re-watched it again. If you were Ramsdale or Thiaw, you fully expect Botman to clear the ball. I re-watched a couple of times and still struggle to understand why people said Ramsdale should be expected to sweep that. That ball was a weighted pass, and it stopped/came close to a stop near the corner of the box. Botman's defending was absolutely atrocious. Terrible instinct to prioritise holding off the player instead of taking control and clear the ball.
  10. Shame he is not a good finisher, though he does offer or create a lot with his wing play

    Lewis Hall

Classy on the ball as always, but he is too often a traffic cone when a player who has good pace and can dribble a bit runs at him.
  12. Mr. end product. We are blessed to have a player like that.
  13. He has no pace left in him. Made Brooks look like Mbappe for the 2nd goal and just ball watching for the 1st.
  14. If you watch the highlights, you will probably change your mind. No way would you say again it's 50:50 between Ramsdale and Botman. Botman was 100% at fault, he had to take control there and clear the ball. BDB would not let that happen if he was on the pitch
  15. If you want to know what partiality or favouritism is, just compare this thread or Bruno's (before him hitting form lately) vs Gordon's
  16. Calling him overrated is probably an understatement. I don't get how people blame Ramsdale for Bournemouth's 3rd goal. Botman had to clear the ball
  17. Just realised his contract will expire in the summer. Perhaps we could either sign him then or even this window with a discounted fee? He has been on fire lately.
  18. He has been carrying us big time lately. Over the last 8 to 10 games or so, he has been consistently good in general play, and his goal contributions have been fantastic. Long may it continue.

    Jacob Murphy

We looked so so much better after he came on. His crossing was a real threat.

    Nick Pope

To me, his performances overall so far this season deserve about a 6/10. Made some costly mistakes, but also some great saves. It probably won't be easy to find a clear upgrade who has similar core GK attributes and is also good with his feet.
  21. Well-deserved point for Sunderland

    Joelinton

Seems back to his usual self. Good to see.
  23. I don’t think he is miles off his usual standards. His off the ball work is still largely good. Plenty of energy. Probably does lose the ball more often than usual, but given we are under pressure throughout the game this is not too surprising
