  1. Romero stamping again there, horrible player.
  2. Everyone wants to have their cake and eat it, for me yesterday is the right way to do it unless they're miles offside and you just accept that there's the risk of injury (something that's a constant risk anyway)
  3. Call me mental, but when a Man United player is dispossessed on the edge of their area and the other team is attacking I don't want or expect the co-commentator to react by saying "what are they dooiiing?"
  4. Neville calling that chop from Hojlund a Cruyff turn ffs
  5. I'm with you though, I'm looking forward to us having them, even if it means that under adidas we'll probably lose the stripes on the back
  6. Just at Man United in the match you're watching there's also at least Rashford, Garnacho and Varane.
  7. Yorkie man Loads of people still wear them at the Adidas teams
  8. Fucking hell Werner. Proper useless
  9. That was never ever a penalty and they've never ever been given. Literally no one else thinks that was a pen like.
  10. I would have if it existed mate. Holding the opponent isn't a pull, it's still a contact sport.
  11. When did yellow cards for dives stop? About the most obvious example you could ask for from Garnacho there.
  12. I see Werner's brought his shooting boots
  13. I can understand it tbf, he doesn’t seem like he has much about him and comes across as smarmy
  14. He was linked quite heavily in the summer. I don't think he was rated highly by people that watched him on here.
  15. Example 453 of Villa's high line somehow not being exploited when it should
  16. After Gordan I just assume that every highly sought after player that doesn't look that good is actually quality now.
  17. Absolutely ridiculous that Tarkowski was booked there
  18. I've asked myself a lot whether this is sour grapes, but I just can't shake the feeling that a lot of Villa's success is down to luck. They're a really good side but the amount of times their back line has been broken only for the opposition to fuck it up is crazy. They also seem to have that knack of deflections, ball losses, and clearances falling perfectly to them (like Dortmund seemed to against us) Don't get me wrong, I only think it's part of why they've been successful, you make your own luck, and I've also seen them just play brilliantly as well, but I do also think they're really really outstripping their performances this season.
  19. Exactly this. Brighton especially had to play at a ridiculously high level of speed and precision to beat it and they did. I'll never accept that match as one of our poor performances, Brighton were outstanding and never gave us a chance to play our game.
  20. FWIW I even find the discussion a bit absurd. I'm not sure if Ashley completely damaged the collective mindset of the fanbase or we're just damaged by nature and the stereotype is true, but we're talking about a manager who: Survived serious relegation threat at a canter Took us to the Champions League with loads of the same squad the next season, something that just doesn't happen outside of fiction. Has us playing attacking, exciting football Has improved every player we have without exception Has us regularly battering teams, including the very best ones, in a style that I would call typically Keeganesque, or early Liverpool-era Klopp. And we're at best feeling the need to talk about how he's still the man for the job and we back him because: Let's be honest, some of our fans are mental and we don't want them or anyone like them representing the fanbase We're 10th We're out of a Champions League group made up of PSG, Dortmund and AC Milan that we were cheated out of We've had a sticky patch Even though: We've had the worst injury hit season in my lifetime, probably twice or three times over Our big summer signing is banned The thing that's in front of your eyes - the players blowing out of their arses and the last minute conceded goals - should all be so blindingly obvious as the big factor We're still handing out hidings when we've been fit, had options of the bench, or been rested this season. Like, are we fucking insane? Are you all out of your fucking minds? Howe is a gift from the gods and some are looking a gift horse in the mouth under this daft guise of 'no-one is exempt from criticism' If Ashley and Bruce was 10 years ago I'd probably get it, the standards have been raised and the memory of those days is long gone. But it was just over 2 years ago and in football terms we've gone from purgatorial hell marketed as heaven, to actual heaven curbed by hellish circumstances. How do you go from stubbornly enduring one to fickley taking the other for granted in that space of time? It's remarkable. It shouldn't even be a topic for debate, it should be a given that every one of us backs him to the hilt, he's not a legend but as far as our clubs recent history goes he's closer than anyone.
  21. Imagine how many notifications RUHRLYASLEEVESUP has
  22. This match was a red pill moment for me with our fans like, I've never been the same since
  23. This is why voting shouldn't be mandatory
  24. Our transfer approach made absolute sense. There are some alternatives you could argue for (an RW/AM instead of Barnes, a 6 or DM instead of Tonali maybe) but with the way we play and (ironically) seeing the affect that not having Gordan and Miggy rotation options has had on the way we play, our signings covered the most amount of bases and were smart, it's just been an extremely unlucky set of circumstances. The expression No good deed goes unpunished comes to mind.
