Hopefully that goal perks Longstaff up because his performance needs that the most. We know 1 goal isn't enough this season, so hopefully we can get another 2 or we know what's coming once they start blowing out of their arses.

Bruno isn't the goalscorer, therefore there's absolutely no reason that should be disallowed. Correct decision.

He was very much on the same path as Mourinho from initally being seen as charismatic to becoming thoroughly unlikeable. For some I'm sure he already is and always was unlikeable (personally I think he was way off but still very unlikeable) Have to be honest and say though that I absolutely loved his style of football right up until last season when it seemed to change massively and that initial fast, counter-pressing and intense style fell by the wayside. Thankfully, I think it's us that now play the nearest to that style, the early Klopp at Liverpool intensity that even at the time I thought was really similar to how we played under Keegan.

It wouldn't happen, but imagine the heelturns, fume and so on if he ended up coming here.

I understand the reasoning behind it, but for me it doesn't feel remotely worth it for what we'd even gain from losing him. Add to that that the team bidding is one who barely has to consider FFP and recently paid £90m for a 30 year old with a year left on his contract and I don't see the value doing it for the amount being touted and the spending it frees up.

What we paid for him was a joke, he's one of the best RBs in the world, regardless of age, one of the best assisters and chance creators in the league, and essentially our captain. All of the fees mentioned are a pittance.

There's no realistic bid that's worth it. For me it would be like £40m to make it worth doing which is obviously not realistic and from my perspective the exact point.

Been saying it for years and usually get rinsed for it , but 433 and 4231 are nigh on the the same system just with a slightly tweaked midfield and are interchangable really quickly along with 451. For me we can easily mix between the two options with him both as one of the flat 3 in a 433 or as the advanced player in the 4231.

I generally don't like the whole 'huhuh, if he was called Morguén G Blanc everyone would be desperate for us to sign him' but that feels very much the case in this instance like. He's shown that he's a really good player at this level with room to improve. He would fit hand in glove in our system and improve us massively working between the lines imo. Can't see it happening at all though tbh. The time to get him was when Forest did.
