He played the woke card and it woked

The hell for leatherness was fine by me, it was the naivety when they were countering for their second that was a problem. Schar flew too close to the sun and then Isak for some reason didn't bring their player down, then Dubravka imo should have saved it.

Alright, but you quoted my post that only mentioned PSG at home, not his. PSG away we were the better team first half, should have been 2 up, second half it was backs to the wall defending and an incredible performance from Pope. They threatened, obviously, but we played well.
-
PSG at home (the match I'm talking about) they didn't threaten, no. We completely battered them from start to finish.
-
A few people (who also never said they wanted rid or anything approaching that) started sexting about how ruthless Yassir Al-Rumayyan is
-
'Good against PSG at home' like that's not both a massive understatement and not an all-time event in Newcastle's history regardless

I don't think there's any realistic foresight the club or anyone could have had to know about a gambling ban and the worst injury crisis in the whole time I've been supporting the club. It would be unfair of me to use that as part of any hindsight so I won't. I gave it a 7.5 and said we were an AM/RW and a RCB away from a 10, I stand by that.

I sort of know one of the fanzine lot through work. If the EFL final is anything to go by, 100%. He couldn't get a ticket but Merdad sorted him out because 'they wanted them all there'
-
Obviously there's a limit to how far this goes, but I'm personally much more interested in feeling like I have a connection with the club, the manager, and enjoying the way we play than success at all costs. For me our ownership removes a big chunk of that, but Howe, the players, the way he has us playing, and the way he represents us gives me a ton back because it's 100% what I want and I agree, I genuinely wouldn't want anyone else.

Darren Grimes Blair ...our owners

Would have been a very decent playmaker in the '90s

We have a knack for seemingly attracting the most hateful cunts in the public eye like

It doesn't hit me at all tbh, not when last night was in our hands to the extent it was

TIL Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Ba, Cisse, Santon, Marveaux, Perch, Sammy Ameobi, Gosling and Obertan were in our Championship squad. Jokes aside, the only starters in 11/12 from the Championship squad were Coloccini, Simpson, Williamson, and Jonas. Two of which were Argentina internationals, bought when we were a Premier League club.
-
That is up there with the biggest load of horseshit I've ever read on here
-
It's a weird result to live with. I woke disappointed but with a weird, calming and comforting sense of it all having been our own fault. Very strange feeling to have about going out of Europe altogether when going through in the Champions League was right there for the taking. Maybe it's only the so closes, what ifs, if onlys, thrashings and injustices that bring out the heartbreak. Imo we had none of them to blame.

There's nothing to get I don't think. Securing a tournament isn't really comparable with securing victory within competitive sport. One has a guaranteed outcome with no financial holds barred in securing, so you can characterise it as being ruthless. The other doesn't have a guaranteed outcome, has financial restrictions in place in trying to secure, and has countless other richer and more powerful clubs and owners all after the same thing, and so can just as easily be characterised as being wreckless when it also doesn't end in success. I know some people have homoerotic fantasies about powerful men going all Glengarry Glen Ross but unless PIF are planning on breaking the model and FFP to try and get there I don't see it, or think they're smart (if the Mourinho rumours hold any weight)
-
Meh, I guess. I'm thinking of Pep and Klopp basically
-
Arteta hasn't won anything. The fundamentals of Pep's game still never really change. You're right that he tinkers and innovates, but the main elements are still there (and are a bit boring to watch now imo)
-
"Learn that skill and we'll win something otherwise it'll always end in tears" The teams that win things don't do that is the point. Would rather we just brought in better players in to reinforce our style even more and give players a breather.
-
Tbf the very best teams don't really do this. When plan A isn't working they don't go for plan B, they fix plan A.
-
Was so impressed by him again. His responsibility with the ball is so good for his age.
-
Me neither, but only because he must know something about his right that we don't There's no way he misses from there with a functioning right foot
