  1. Definitely. When Isak scored the 2nd I went "Is that it!?". Atrocious defending to have 3 at the back and allow a goal like that to happen.
  2. I'm actually slightly unsettled by how easy this has been. We've barely bothered.
  3. Trossard just Cruyff turned Pedro Porro into a coma
  4. We're not being cocky, but we need to be careful not to get too comfortable with the scoreline and it seeming like we're in control in 2nd gear. Wolves are wearing sheep's clothing a bit here, weeeeeey, and tactically look set up well to get something on the break. We could do with a few more playing with the intent and enthusiasm that Murphy is.
  5. It's fine, just never ever do it again.
  6. The wage thing is a mindset thing more than anything surely? If we'd signed him for ~£12m and he was on £50k a week it shouldn't be less of a problem because Bournemouth got the money instead of him. Players who run down their contracts nigh on always get paid more because they have that leverage don't they.
  7. Yeah, I don't think there's any argument against people simply wanting to get it in like
  8. Calm down LFEE, Jesus You're asking a basic question about advertising and sponsorship based on stadium attendance, but that's chicken feed. The reality is that the overwhelming majority of the eyes on those things will be watching it around the world and the income is based on that and how much further exposure there is to that through the Champsions League and so on, not the amount of people in the stadium.
  9. And it def wasn't that they were talking about doubling matchday revenue, as opposed to total revenue?
  10. Yeah I did think that but I'll wait to see what WM says.
  11. I get that they're saying it, but I'm not sure what evidence that's based on. If it doubled our total revenue we'd be on par with Spurs, which seems a bit unrealistic.
  12. Those figures go up vs our existing figures, obviously. When the context is that we're competing with 6 other clubs in terms of players we can attract, wages and fees we can pay, their commericial incomes outstrip ours by around 600%, and make up nearly 50% of their overall revenue, I'm not sure why the first port of call is to get rid of one of the best and most unique things about the club, essentially ask for the club we support to charge us even more, make up a matchday revenue gap of 250% at best, and that will still keep us in a position where commercial revenue remains unaffected and way behind. We're selling a lie to ourselves AFAIC.
  13. Crucially, they're also not exclusively linked to whether you build a new stadium or not at all.
  14. Also means a simple single solution to a complex problem If you look at that graph again you can see why. Matchday could double and our overall revenue would barely budge in comparison to the big 6 purely because of their commercial income.
  15. Yeah and tbf we're football supporters not finance supporters so I do welcome it being an emotional decision to stay with open arms. If the financial argument isn't strong enough (which I don't think it is) then I don't think it's worth it.
  16. I think it's fairly easy to understand like. A matchday income increase of that level isn't a silver bullet and barely moves the needle overall. If there's an argument for a stadium move being the catalyst for a 'big 6' style commercial income leap I'm genuinely all ears, but I've never seen it put forward.
  17. So you think there'll be a chain reaction with the other income streams that starts with moving stadium resulting in increased non-matchday revenue and going from there?
  18. A reminder that getting rid of SJP based on the argument of not getting left behind very much means still being left behind in reality. If you want to get in and others to be able to get in, fair enough like, but these arguments about PSR, matchday income, tickets being available to those who can't afford it etc are all either pretty baseless or result in negligible benefits vs what's lost in the process.
  19. Short of Brentford beating Man City at the end that's the perfect set of results really.
