  1. Newcastle's second yellow, not Joelinton's second yellow. The commentator said it in a weird way.
  2. Almost a fucking beautiful ball from Burn. Love that type of pass
  3. I remember watching matches streamed on JustinTV from people in the crowd streaming to Periscope at like 0.5kbps and it still stuttered. Full HD coverage with commentary and we're whinging because the bloke commentating on a Newcastle pre-season friendly in Austria isn't Barry Davies
  4. There are plenty of fans who think he's a twat. Have you ever heard a single thing about him being a negative influence within a club though?
  5. Fair enough like, I was only replying to the comment about him not being a positive influence though.
  6. Not that I'd want him either, like. Signings like Diego Carlos, Zapata, and Lingard were surely January only signings
  7. It's based entirely on fans not liking him off the field. There's nothing whatsoever to suggest he'd be a bad influence within the club like, only the opposite.
  8. Not that I believe it, but you're obviously not going to get an English, established 8-goal-a-season Premier League winger for £20m
  9. Ake plays for Man City quite a lot more than you would think and will likely play more with the 5 subs rule coming in. He played 27 times last season and the majority were full matches.
  10. The principle of stepping stone players is a totally fair comparison to make like. Unless there's another way to do it.
  11. Mick Lowes saying that has just reminded me of when Roger Thames used to always say 'at the double' when a player scored twice. Dunno why, but it was proper annoying.
  12. I'm not a massive fan, but I think he's very underrated. Wingers scoring 8 goals a season twice in a row for a relegation battling team normally have more hype around them.
  13. Man City and Chelsea did like. They bought loads of players who were never going to get them to the top, that's where we are now while we build up to that. Not saying we shouldn't get the best available, but you have to keep levelling up to get the very top players.
  14. Tbf, it made sense to all of the teams that had to work their way into that top 6. Man City, Spurs, and Chelsea all bought players that would end up not being good enough for them.
  15. Putting my money on the table now and saying that Harrison is better than a mid-table player. Not top 6, but not mid-table.
  16. Just to follow on from this, I know stats don't tell you everything, but the lad on the other side of the pitch who everyone would have been over the moon about signing, got 17 goals and 12 assists in the same two seasons (albeit in 10 fewer games overall)
  17. 18 goals and 10 assists in 76 games, from the wing, in the league we're in, is exactly what we're looking for.
  18. Said it before and I'll say it again, would be really happy if we got Harrison.
  19. Another one for the needlessly wanky football lexicon 'pick up' instead of just saying signing, transfer, or loan.
  20. Not sure the £25m for Wood lines up with that, unless the valuation took into account our desperation at the time.
  21. If they're really unwilling to sersumvent FFP, then £25m on Wood and £10m on Pope (if Dubravka goes) isn't looking as good as it did.
  22. "oooooh, they'll love this nyeh heh heh heh heh"
