  1. Never been to Sheffield, but lived in Leeds and have visited the others a fair few times. Birmingham's actually really nice where I went near the canals and the NEC. I was really surprised by how nice it was, I fully expected it to be a shithole. For me Leeds is canny but has no focal point, Manchester's too spread out for nights out, and London's very hit or miss. I love Liverpool tbh, for me it has that same compact feel that Newcastle has where everything feels within walking distance.
  2. I feel like players quite often don't know their best position themselves and just go with the one they enjoy the most or the position they feel comfortable in.
  3. Dreading this like. I'd gotten quite used to the numb comfort of my safety blanket of apathy
  4. Things can change, but Carragher is by far and away the most knowledgable pundit out there at the moment imo. Find myself totally agreeing with him most of the time these days, including about Newcastle.

    Lookalikes

Always thought that about Mark King in Level 42. And Jussi Jääskeläinen looked like the baby.
  6. Instinct says that Lascelles and Ritchie being out will be a blessing, but I also have a feeling that we'll see why they were starting and for all their weaknesses, they're just going to be replaced with different weaknesses.
  7. Main thing I noticed aside from the shocking refereeing decisions was just how much Wilson was bossed by Gabriel.
  8. I never buy the whole expectations thing about Newcastle fans but then I do also wonder what some people expect from Arsenal away with the players we have, like. Especially considering it's 0-0, have hit the bar, could have arguably had a pen, and the ref's been shit. We're not playing like we did against Brentford of course, but there's a time and a place.
  9. If players and national teams collectively walk away from competing in the world cup it would be absolutely incredible imo and would pretty much be the only thing that would ever change anything. I'd also have the utmost respect for any player that walks away knowing that they'll have changed pretty much nothing and sacrificed player at the World Cup for what they believe in. Pretty much everything is probably cheap, including talking about it. We'll get to witness first hand just how full of shit 90% of the people who had a problem with the Newcastle takeover are.
  10. Ah yeah that's what it was. Makes no difference to me personally, the club's owned by homophobic cunts whether its PR message contradicts that or not. I get why it might mean something to other people though.
  11. I definitely saw it on the official twitter about an hour ago like
  12. Today I read about how it's now almost impossible for any of us to avoid ingesting microplastics, that they cross the blood-brain barrier, and that they're probably poisoning our brains. Knowing that might help you make a bit more sense of posts like that.
  13. Peter Drury loves talking about smaller teams like they're tiny fucking Tim. Patronising prick.

    Sunderland

Beheddie's quite inventive for them tbf
  15. Accessibility is a big thing with design these days.
  16. I watched this thinking I'd at least get to some of Chiesa, who's been great to watch whenever I've seen him. It feels like he's touched the ball twice tonight.
  17. You wait for years then England get all these outrageous right backs at once.
  18. Man City's and ours are the only ones that massively changed from their previous badge.
  19. I'd probably argue most of those have only been slightly tweaked anyway, rather than changed in the way that ours did.
  20. Chelsea's training gear is smart as fuck, have to admit.
  21. 12/13 was a really good January on paper and it still stopped us being Pardewed into the Championship. There were such high hopes for Yanga-Mbiwa as well. Sissoko's debut against Ashley Cole was probably the highlight of that miserable season.
