  1. Owen's was incredible. I really disliked him and I know everyone on here did but I was really surprised by how universal the booing was, easily more scathing than it was for any former player.
  2. That some people seem to condescendingly think that being a PFM automatically means that's a bad thing. It doesn't, it just means that if they're also a shit manager they'll tend to get excused. It's really come around to being used so often now that it just comes across as snootiness.
  3. We booed James Milner not long after he was sold. Something I still find absolutely incredible considering the circumstances at the time.
  4. Think it's that no team has failed to win in their opening 12 and then stayed up. Plenty will have been in the same position and still stayed up and although I'm guessing on this one, presumably teams have had similar points totals gained and still stayed up?
  5. My great grandad was a 'keeper for Liverpool in the '30s (ooh look at me, look at me) and his height was officially 5ft 8ins (was actually 6ft-ish) as a small way of messing with the opposition's plans. Could be a bit of that, or just an error
  6. Sol Campbell thinks dogs can't look up
  7. The symbolism's going to be so on-the-nose when those Sports Direct signs come down and they've left an indelible mark. Some of the local journos will be all over it.
  8. A truly sad day for non Man United fans. It's been fun to watch and I can't believe it lasted this long in the first place.
  9. Tory values are predominantly about them and their pals profiteering directly from doing things that let people go hungry, you can't separate the two when that's the reality. Cut wages, workers rights, and benefits, disband unions, deregulation, deliberately underfund public services to bring in privatisation, get a job with the businesses you helped when you leave politics, blame everything on phantoms with the help of a media that also funds you. It's not a conspiracy or anything, it's their business model. People like Jamie Reuben and big business giving money to food banks and the Tories at the same time is at best a contradiction and at worst just PR - in fact big business often spend more advertising how much they've donated than the amount they've actually donated. People see it as a genuine, honest act and so it works amazingly well. Fund a problem that earns you a fortune, then have people laud and excuse you when you throw back scraps. It's a great deal for them and we saw how far that can be stretched when a nation was duped into applauding the NHS rather than demanding that its staff are paid fairly. And FWIW Kier Starmer's Labour Party would just be the diet version if they had even the slightest chance of getting into power. People like Jamie Reuben are who they're trying to attract.
  10. As funny and excellent as it would be, I'll be surprised if Ole makes it beyond Tuesday.
  11. We've just watched Joelinton put in a MOTM performance and Shelvey pressing well and playing well in midfield, that alone should be enough to tell us to give all players a chance to get up speed before writing them off
  12. I know we haven't won, but we've had so many draws, so I wonder what the record is based on points total after 12 games and still staying up.
  13. I'd be much more confident if there were any other really shit teams about, but it seems that they've all gone now. Add that to the fact we'd be the first ever club to do it, it's probably a 7 for me now
  14. Either questionable or undoubtedly at fault for all of their goals and had a few other dodgy keeper moments. Hopefully Howe goes with Dubravka from now on.
  15. Jesus Christ, is Darlow even a goalkeeper?
  16. That centre midfield will be interesting surprised it's 343, and that Clark, and Murphy are in there. Expected 4411 and for Hayden, Manquillo, and Fraser to be starting
  17. You never know, it might be a blessing in disguise
  18. You've just got to laugh like, just such a relentlessly ridiculous football club.
  19. I've said this before, but if you watch the Man United 5-0 back, he's comfortably MOTM imo. Totally deserved to score that chance he had after Ginola skips past Neville.
