  1. Gans on like a parody account of himself the sad cunt
  2. Maybe I was being naïve but I really thought Pope coming in would give Dubravka a kick up the arse to hit another level. They're not galaxies apart, I thought he'd have taken it as a challenge and they'd have both pushed each other to excellence. It's disappointing and surprising if he's just sacking it off to go somewhere else.
  3. In simplified form Pope>>>>>>>Dubravka>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Darlow.
  4. Because having Dubravka as your number 2 is excellent because the gap in quality from him to Pope isn't huge, unlike the gap from Pope to Darlow.
  5. Bit of a weird reply tbh mate, but as I say it's not massively about the difference between Dubravka and Pope as number 1s, it's about the huge difference between Dubravka and Darlow as number 2s.
  6. I actually think Dubravka is really underrated on here tbh. It's an obvious waste because having Dubravka as your number 2 is a very good position to be in. Bringing in Pope yet still having Darlow as your number 2 is a moderate gain at number 1 and the same poor number 2.
  7. Dubravka going instantly makes the Pope signing a bit of a waste of resources imo.
  8. The crunch their warehouse must have went through that lead to that level of quality must have been a killer. It's very possible that the DHGate versions will be better quality.
  9. Probably Bobby Concur tbh
  10. I was the same until Howe came here, I read what the Bournemouth fans said about him and then watched him again. Class defender tbh.
  11. Yeah that's a good point re Vieira especially.
  12. Commentators and pundits must be so aware of it now. Just laughing to myself imagining it going the other way and no one getting any credit for anything that could be seen as positive discrimination. Son working really hard as he usually does and the commentator doing everything they can to mention that he's hard working.
  13. Norm Dunno if it's in there, but when he went "the worst part about the whole Bill Cosby thing is the hypocrisy" and then just left it hanging at that was incredible.
  14. Maybe opening a can of worms here, but which players are not being described as they should be that you could reasonably assume is down to stereotypical thinking? For example, I remember rarely hearing Yaya Toure being described as intelligent despite obviously being very intelligent. But in 2022 I can't think of an obvious example.
  15. Bellamy was really underrated like. A big part of our modern history but became a much better player again at Liverpool and Man City.
  16. Koller, Negredo, Carroll, Big Dunc and Vidic being regularly referred to as beasts is an anti-black racist trope because I said so mate.
  17. The same daft point has been being made on here for years. It used to be about calling any black player a 'beast' but it seems to have moved onto anyone having the audacity to compare players who also have the same skin colour or nationality. It's lazier than the comparisons it's aimed at criticising.
  18. Yeah, watching his highlights again he looks strong with both feet.
  19. A no that appeases both fanbases there.
  20. Isn't Diaby right footed?
  21. From what I've seen, I'd be more than happy with Harrison like. Much lower risk than Diaby as well.
  22. Hopefully it's brinkmanship in order to force BL's hand for Diaby.
  23. I don't rate him and he's a cheating, emaciated smack rat
  24. Would rather we signed Gordon, the fictional train from Thomas the Tank Engine.
  25. I think it's a miles on the clock thing. Duff annoyingly went on to have a good stint at Fulham but the rest of them were way past their best when they came due to playing from a young age and injuries. We had a bit of a reputation for paying daft wages at the time as well - Keiron Dyer was on £80k a week in 2005 IIRC. £6m was a decent wedge for Smith at the time, probably like paying £20m ish now I'd say. I remember thinking the signings we made that summer was us showing serious ambition but it was clear early on that they weren't the same players anymore and I'm sure they were on high wages too.
