I'd say he's at the absolute limit of fanciful before getting into delusion, as Trippier and Bruno were. Can't see him leaving Juve for anyone tbh, but he'd be my dream RW signing.
-
He's played a fair bit for Man City this season towards the end. Haven't seen anything other than quality from him tbh, defensively, on the ball, and from set pieces.

Matt Targett set to miss remainder of season with hamstring injury (Howe)
Kid Icarus replied to SUPERTOON's topic in Football
You've got to trust Howe, especially if attacking full backs are critical to how he wants us to play, but I really will be gutted if we don't keep Targett like. Not keeping someone that good feels alien, he's been magnificent. No risk because he's a known quality. An 8/9 defensively every week and a 7 overall And he can improve his attacking play Let's hope that if he does go it's a Kelly to Beardsley and Sellars to Ginola situation where no one wanted Kelly or Sellars to go but then we immediately got it once we saw Beardsley and Ginola. -
Was never sure on Ake at Bournemouth but every Bournemouth fan I've encountered has said that he was absolute quality. Every time I've seen him at Man City he's been defensively sound like, very comfortable on the ball and a goal threat as well.

Not a chance that the Castore post then delete wasn't deliberate either

Disagree, there are still loads of documents waiting to be declassified re alleged Saudi embassy involvement. Agree to the extent with the last part, but then again they did also chop up a U.S journalist and had literally nothing happen to them. We'll see how that relationship changes if we ever diversify our energy supply. Anyway, Dan Ashworth eh

Disagree, they allegedly did in my alleged opinion, allegedly. Anyway, Dan Ashworth eh

You're out of your tree if you think the state that (allegedly) funded 9/11, killed a U.S journalist, and have the U.K on the hook for oil and weapons are going to take any culturally exchanged influence from owning one of its football clubs. If they progress, great, but it'll be nothing to do with our influence, not least when the overwhelming majority of our fans will be spending their time defending them, rather than making any naive attempts to positively influence them.

17/18 was still a great kit imo. Ruined by the sponsor like.
-
Can't see us spending that much on someone who's about to turn 29.
-
Feel like we lost Puma at exactly the point they started making some really nice kits.

Yeah, everyone seems to imagine themselves in a higher class or in a fictionalised place when they're reminiscing about a past era. Think I wasted a good few years of my early 20s looking to go on holiday to what boiled down to Enid Blyton's version of the '50s English countryside. All of these people who talk about having past lives as well, they're always spice merchants and noblemen, but they're never slaves, serfs, or slave owners are they.

Like the return to the old puma logo like

My lass's dad was around briefly before and it was the first time I'd seen him since Arsenal at home. I honestly thought he was going to start crying the way he was talking about Howe He absolutely loves the bloke, talking about how intelligent he is and how he's brought everyone together and made them happy, with a massive smile on his face. I know it's just some daft little anecdote but it's class seeing the older generation absolutely chuffed with everything at the moment

Morata either has the same agent as Roberto Martinez or he's part of some sort of money laundering scheme. Potentially coming up to a combined £200m transfer fee for a player who barely hits double figures every season.
-
I'd be lying if I said I hadn't formed one with Matt Targett tbh.
-
Paqueta doesn't play there tbf, he'd be in a midfield 3 with Bruno and Joelinton
-
Think he said that's how much he was worth to them at the time (when they were challenging for the league) Could be wrong though
-
Yeah, Gerrard had some embarrassing hard man stuff early on at Rangers but I don't remember it recently? In his overlap interview it was something he said he cringes over now as well.
-
What the fuck was Mancini's problem after they won? Seems like an absolute weirdo and nutcase.

Just been watching The Overlap fan debate there. I'm not sure who the lass is who was on for us, but I thought she spoke well in general and went with the whole 'I don't support Saudi Arabia, waving flags etc, it shouldn't be on us to have to answer these questions, but we shouldn't shy away from the conversation.' Totally fair enough, I think that's lip service and we'll be 'having the conversation' in 10 years time if they're still here, with nothing having changed, but I accept that outlook on it. Gary Neville though, man. I admire him for the soapbox he gets on about the state of this country, but he's such a political rube like. He's naive in the extreme with his 'bring them to the table' outlook. He actually asked her this with a completely straight face. Or else what? What sort of la la land do you have to be living in to think that the Saudi's could (allegedly) get away with 9/11 and murder a U.S journalist without the U.S doing a thing to them, have the U.K government beg them for oil within the last month, own 80% of a football club as a bit on the side and then for the fans of that club to come along and think they have any leverage to get them to rethink let alone place demands on them over their domestic human rights policies? I wouldn't mind, but only a few weeks ago he was saying how his 'bring them to the table' outlook had been wrong when everyone suddenly decided Abramovic was a wrongun 20 years later. Now he's gone back to it. Hopefully he'll wise up to his naivety permanently at some point.

The more I hear about Paqueta the more it makes sense like. He seems to tick every box that you'd want from a midfielder and although he's more of a goal threat, just like Bruno and Joelinton he gets stuck in. He's like 1 in 2 for goals and/or assists as well
-
It's also a tricky one because if you're picking players on their England form, dropping Maguire is just daft.

The lock the thread cry babies on here. Fuck off and
