Not sure I can bear that pipsqueak being linked to time and again like.
-
It could have all been really good if they'd just got rid of that Devine pillock. I should note however that since then the only times they've featured the team sitting in 3rd this season was our 0-0 with Man United, our 2-0 loss to Villa, and the 6-1 just gone. The only time they've actually talked about us in those matches was the 0-0 with Man United and a little bit in the 2-0 loss.
-
There's a bit of pull for the push in all of this as well. As favourable as Man United's fixtures are, their squad seems to be crumbling in front of us.
-
I get this, but at the same time if you go to watch a film, is there a point where it's so bad you could ask for a refund? I've done that before like
-
I guess there's a line where some performances are unnacceptable. Our 6-1 loss to Leyton Orient comes to mind as one where every fan should have been refunded. Not sure 6-1 away to Newcastle is one of those, but if we hadn't took our foot off the gas at 5-0 it probably would have been.

I have a real problem with people (particularly middle class journalists) talking uninformed shite about football like, I can't lie.
-
It's actually ridiculous how much better JLA is than everyone else at the moment.
-
It was Luke as well, with Marcus giggling as he said it. I only ever put it on when we've had a really good result, but it's always a massive let down.
-
Fair play to TFS this week. I'm not its biggest fan by any means but they actually talked about us with an iota of a clue about how we play and how our players are performing. Daniel Storey touted Willock (rightly along with Jacob Ramsey) for the 3rd midfield position alongside Rice and Bellingham. Something The Football Ramble - clearly having not paid much attention this season - laughed off as ridiculous.

I don't buy that tbh. Man United have been a basket case for the best part of 10 years. Within that time, any time they've been beaten well by 'the other 14' it's never been about the other team playing well. It got to the point of being absolutely ridiculous, Man United being poor wasn't news, teams beating them well wasn't news, yet still the same conversations over and over and over again. The entire rhetoric around 'how can this be happening?' as better teams continued to beat them. Now you can perhaps understand that with a team as historically successful as Man United after they've been done in by say Brentford (although I still don't like it or agree with it) But Spurs? They've won nothing. They've done nothing. They're not a good team and they've just been battered by the team in 3rd. It's completely backwards. Reverse that scoreline and it's 100% about how good Spurs look.

I would say it was a plausible worst case scenario yeah.

I hate those predictors, but also cannot resist doing them. I had the ultimate nightmare outcome yesterday. Liverpool pipping us to 4th. equal GD. equal GS, but going through on head-to-head.

I presume you're talking about Tifo here? Absolutely woeful like. "Newcastle pressed well and took their chances" was the entirety of the analysis on us in a 7 minute segment about a 6-1 win in which Newcastle were 5-0 up in 21 minutes. Last week they featured us for the first time in months and it was as part of a 3-0 loss, then they feature our match this week and don't mention us at all. And it's not a woe-is-Newcastle point at all, they and the media in general do this to other teams all the time. Brentford barely got a crumb of praise for botting Man United 4-0 earlier in the season and that's just one example. Thank fuck they're axing the Tifo Podcast. Fucking shite.
-
On Tifo this week they talk about our match for 6 minutes. We're mentioned in one sentence "Newcastle pressed really well and took their chances" The remainder of the 6 minutes in entirely devoted to Spurs. So that's no coverage all season, then featured as the main event when Villa beat us, then not featured at all in the review of a match we won 6-1 In better news, their middle class patter black hole of a podcast is ending in June.

Hadn't realised that we're only 5 points behind our 95/96 points total after 31 games. That's insane like.
-
Aye, he'll be frightening if he starts meeting his xG and xA.
-
You've all got it wrong, it's James HetfielDAH.

Matt Sels redemption arc incoming

He redeemed himself. Colback on the other hand.

14 is the coolest number you can have imo

Love the 25fps on the match cam tbh, gives it a real cinematic feel.

Bruno needs an end of 93-94/start of 94/95 period of form to get past Rob Lee for me, but I've no doubt that he's capable of doing it. That spell, plus longevity are the only things holding me back from saying he's the best midfielder I've seen at Newcastle. The likes of Cabaye are leagues below Lee and Bruno and shouldn't even be mentioned really.

Every time without fail. We've battered Chelsea, Man United, Spurs, Man City (despite it only being a draw), Brentford, and Villa at home. At some point you'd think that they'd realise it wasn't just that all of these teams were just having 'off days'
