Mad that none of us have really brought up Burn or Schar because we're already so used to them being dependable. Thought all 4 of them defended really well as a unit, but Burn and Schar deserve more credit than they've been getting.

What I don't get is that there's this acceptance that yes he works hard, but then I'm not sure it's ever considered that his work ethic or the way in which he works hard, might be something that's fairly unique to him. I'm by no means an effort over talent sort of person, but Wood really does properly, relentlessly work his arse off like. It's not just a fall-back excuse, he does it better and for longer than what I'm used to seeing.

Dunno what it is about Zaha, but the way he goes on doesn't bother me in the slightest. He whinges a bit, but he's hardly unique in being like that, and having an opposition player you can wind up and get under the skin of is a good thing (see Pickford). I've always found the dislike for him a bit OTT.

Thought he was much better last night tbh, passed it when he should have and ran with it when he should have. If his finishing and final ball was better at the moment I think most people would be loving it.

I remember Jose getting skinned once in the whole time he was here (Sturridge at Bolton) - Targett is already comfortably the best left back we've had since him.

Still Joelinton for me, he hasn't been as consistent as Targett, but his purple patch was absolutely amazing and his poorer spell has still been largely decent.
