I know I said it I'm saying I'm not sure where you're pulling the idea that I'm in the minority for wanting that from. As far as I can tell, us being run like Brighton or Leicester but on a larger scale IS the plan.
-
-
Dunno where you've pulled that one from
-
Eh?
-
Ashworth was at Brighton, Eales at Atlanta, Silverstone at Arsenal, 2/3 are a step up regardless of whether PIF are here. So I disagree, but even if that were right it doesn't change how I'd want the club to function anyway. Brighton and Leicester operate in the same way afterall.

I don't think he's so disliked tbh, but Leeds are also in shit form, which will do it. He goes on like a tit on the touchline, but everyone hates that about Arteta without it being a supposed dislike for Spaniards. It's the most stereotypically American thing going to try and blame things on people being anti-American as well like and ironically probably feeds a dislike for Americans

I think so yeah.

I get that it's a money thing in a lot of places, but it's absolutely crazy to me that Japan is still one of the few earthquake hotspots that uses lightweight materials for its buildings. Something stupid like only 19 people died from the actual earthquake in 2011.

The way we're doing it now tbh. It's just a shame that the PIF are involved. Getting in Darren Eales, Dan Ashworth, and Peter Silverstone to do what they do is pretty much ideal. You want to see a line from youth to academy to first team, expanded revenue streams, better sponsorship deals, and a combination of academy graduates, stars brought in without breaking the bank, and to grow that way. Brighton or (until Covid) Leicester on a bigger scale basically.

Yeah, that's fine by me. Never been interested in us being like Man City, Chelsea, PSG etc - hate it all tbqhwy

It's win-win imo PL does nothing and we spend more and I enjoy the football in ignorant bliss PL does something and we get Man City out of the picture and grow organically - albeit against a cartel of clubs that can always justify their spend vs turnover.
-
I mean...
-
I'm only on page 7 of 137 like , but there are a fair few dismissing the charges outright, saying that other clubs do it but the PL want Man City out, it's the owners of other teams pushing it, there's a cartel (that for some reason they don't think they're in), the UEFA case was a set-up, the PL will force them out which will open the ESL to them then someone saying they won't get an invite into the ESL It's not even a dig at them, it's nearly word-for-word the crap we saw from some of our lot during our takeover and what we saw from Chelsea fans when everyone suddenly decided Abramovic was a wrong-un. These states and oligarchs are bad for the game, it's us fans left carrying the bag/responsibility.
-
Reading the Man City forum about this, it's mad seeing how often fans think that they and their club are being uniquely victimised. You see it across every single fanbase.
-
FFP are UEFA regs rather than PL, so maybe there's something else at play.
-
We've just watched Mason Greenwood get away with something we all watched. Our owners got away with telling the PL that they're not actually the owners. I'd be genuinely shocked if anything actually happens.
-
I get the gut feeling that Staveley and Boehly knew this was coming but disagree on how it'll turn out.
-
I'll believe it when I see it. Man City will get someone to investigate the Premier League like they did with UEFA
-
I'd be shocked if ASM doesn't start against Bournemouth. It's not Howe's style to not give players a fair crack imo. Look at the chances Wilson's had while not performing. He'll get at least 45 minutes to turn it on against relatively weak opposition, away from the pressure of SJP before bringing Gordon on imo.

Carragher asking Souness and Micah Richards why they'd have Shearer above Kane. Both annoyingly not making the obvious points. He had 3 major injuries and did it in a largely hit and miss Newcastle team. Kane will never be on the level Shearer was in his prime.

I just keep imagining a time traveller coming back to me at the start of the season to tell me how it's going by February (they don't have their priorities in order, admittedly) They tell me that we're 4th, a point ahead of Spurs with a game in hand, 5 points behind Man City in 2nd, we've only lost once, have the third best goal difference in the league, the fewest goals conceded, 10 consecutive clean sheets in a row, breaking the club record, the 2nd best defence in Europe, we've played all of the top 6 - beating Chelsea at home, Spurs away, drawn against Man City at home, champions elect Arsenal away, Man United away, and lost controversially to Liverpool away. Most of our remaining games against those teams are at home. ...and oh yeah, we're in the League Cup final. Our rolling 38 game points tally is only 2 points behind 95/96 with a -2 goal difference, yet we've been regularly playing Bruce-era players. Sometimes you need to step out of the now a little bit. All of the above is insane and although we can always do better, unless you're supporting 08-14 Barcelona, that'll always be the case, there has to be a time when you enjoy the ride I think.

Madley genuinely needs to be demoted. Worst ref by some distance at this level. Single handedly ruins matches.
-
Do they hell they've been absolutely rotten all season. They're becoming Man City's bogey team a bit though, still plenty of time in this as well.
